Well I know easier said than done! Also no pun intended. And let me tell you I am the first one to be wary of movies (even short ones like this one right here) that have an idea that seems to good to be true ... and too self aware in a sense. A one joke kind of thing.
But this really works - you get aware of the movie or our main character becoming aware of storytelling time gone ... well wrong or south or wherever you see it going. Very well played and the twists are well placed to. Well the big one is what starts to happen from one point forward. The question is: is there a point of no return? And is this a multiple choice thing? A lot can happen of course.
Probably not the best ad for audio books ... then again this is just a movie ... right? Are you still thinking of listening to an audio book? Are you sure though? I am obviously kidding ... or am I? Really well done and can become the stuff of nightmares ... this is what short movies are supposed to do! Thank you.

Well, I must say, I'm usually skeptical of films like this-especially short ones-that seem to rely too heavily on a single idea. But this works so incredibly well. You quickly become aware that something is deeply wrong, both with the movie and with the journey our main character finds themselves on, who by the way, the actor does such an incredible job.
The twists are subtle yet impactful, and they unfold in a way that keeps you engaged. What starts as a simple premise spirals into something much darker, making you question if there's a limit to how far things can go. It plays with the idea of a point of no return, and the tension is palpable throughout.
This is a disturbing and memorable experience that lingers long after the credits roll. Perfectly done for a short film, and it leaves you unsettled in the best way.
One of the best short horror films I've seen. No doubt this will get received very well by the majority.

Best listen to 5his with the headphones on to get the full effect.
I love horror shorts, they often provide such fertile ground from which sprout new horror full length feature films. See Mama and Lights Out for earlier examples.
This got recommended to me from Instagram so I switched over to You Tube and watched it. Then I watched it again.
It is fabulously directed and edited. The sound design and sound editing (critically important in the horror genre) are fantastic. The creaky floorboards should have an acting credit by themselves. The podcast theme works wonderfully well.
I will definitely look out for more from this writer.
