Mandara weaves together drama, romance, action, adventure, and thrill. Beyond this, the plot also underlines a common theme of how generational trauma has shaped each of the main characters, and how growing up with kindness gave the young Yashora (Saheli Sadithma) reselience and the almost naïve belief in the good of others.

This movie is arguably Chulakshi Ranathunga's best performance, where we see truly see her acting range. Chulakshi plays the titural character who experiences a family tragedy that strains her close relationships, and I only wish she had more screen time.

A big standout performance by Bimal Jayakody, where he plays the chilling villain Bharatha. Fans of Sinhala cinema know he typically plays one the good guys, and it was almost refreshing to see him in a different light.

After a long time, I watched a great Sinhala movie. Highly recommend. The actors and the storyline are superb. Also, the movie quality is good. And I want to tell you the location of the movie. Every place showed the real beauty of Sri Lanka. I love every place they choose. I don't want to spoil anything because you should watch it in a theater. If you're a Sinhala movie fan you should watch this. Also, I want to thank the director and the all crew members in the movie for giving a great movie like this. I hope we can watch many movies like this in the future. Even though I saw little mistakes in the movie I loved it. Thank you again and hood luck.
