The Covid crisis played such a significant role in our recent lives that a documentary that examines what happened in an objective way is really important. Covid wasn't the first pandemic experienced by mankind but certainly was the one that got the most worldwide attention. Whether you agree with the actions that national governments took to fight the outbreak is not as important as knowing on what basis these decisions were made. Once you understand the background one is better prepared to evaluate whether the tactics employed were appropriate or not. Covid Collateral helps us understand the background of what happened and why.
A very worthwhile film that i recommend.

This documentary allows us to step back after a couple of years and evaluate what happened to us and why. The production states it is searching for the truth and I think it does a fair job in trying to achieve that. It focuses on facts and not hearsay or unsubstantiated opinions. Well researched and documented from beginning to end. The part about the young man who is turned away at a hospital and ends up dying is extremely moving. The impact that some of the policies adopted by our governments, in some cases too hastily and without sufficient data, had devastating effects on many people. An enlightening documentary very much worth seeing.
This documentary was so beautifully done. No hysterics. No propaganda. Just brave people speaking truthfully.
At a Cato Institute screening, Dr. Robert Redfield, the former director of the Centers for Disease Control, was one of the panelists. It can be viewed on YouTube.
Here is Vanessa's summary of what he divulged to the audience.
"After the film was screened, Dr. Redfield told the audience that he had been against lockdowns right from the get-go, and that he had been muzzled by the White House and by Dr. Fauci. He was kept out of important meetings and phone calls. He also said that he believed in early 2020 that the Covid virus leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China. He said that he had been accused of being a racist for making that statement. He actually said, out loud, that science caused Covid and science needs to deal with it. I was shocked at how candid he was. And he said he is completely against gain-of-function research because it's too dangerous.
It's no wonder that Tony Fauci and his team wanted to suppress the discussion of a lab leak theory because it was Tony Fauci, through the NIH, that had been funding dangerous gain-of-function research on Coronaviruses for years. As a matter of fact, one character who briefly appears in the film, Peter Daszak (of EcoHealth Alliance), was the man who allotted these funds."

Making this film at a time of massive misinformation, disinformation, mal-information and emotional division is itself a huge accomplishment. But Vanessa Dylyn managed to pull off a fair and focused documentary centring around 2 clear parts of the Covid story -- lockdowns and Covid origins. Using the highest journalistic and legal standards, she has created an important vehicle for open discussion about previously verboten subjects that desperately need to be discussed with intelligence and open mindedness. This is the perfect film for anyway ready to listen to reason or open a conversation about a dark part of our modern history that must be discussed in order to ensure that the damage done is never repeated.
COVID Collateral is a compelling investigative documentary that dives into the ripple effects of public health measures implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film explores the unintended consequences of lockdowns, restrictions, and the widespread impact on mental health, livelihoods, and civil liberties.
One of the film's strengths lies in its commitment to presenting diverse viewpoints. COVID Collateral sheds light on the complexities of public health policy, going beyond simple narratives to investigate the impact on human lives.
While it doesn't shy away from pointing out missteps in the governmental response, it avoids sensationalism, focusing instead on how society can learn from these experiences.
Overall, COVID Collateral is a must-watch for anyone interested in understanding the full scope of the pandemic's impact and the delicate balance between public safety and personal freedoms. It's an eye-opener that encourages viewers to question and reflect, leaving a lasting impact.
