I never expected this movie to be so bad and ending is loathsome .No doubt this kind of low budget movie dont get theatrical release.if i was producer i would kick the director out of my office as my investment would be ruined, who cares if the script holds true events but i expect audience to leave the theatre with a positive contentment. The film gives us message not to trust anybody but i disagree on this. The actors dont even appeal nor acting, especially the male actor is so sick,I bet he had rehersal issue,
Ok now big question is should i recommend you to watch it? Sure if you got nothing to do and want to kill the time.
When I sat down to watch the 2025 horror movie "Womb", from writer Mike Walsh and director Bridget Smith, I actually needed no persuasion to do so. Why? Well, simply given my love of all things horror. And since this was a movie that I hadn't already seen, much less ever heard about, of course I opted to check it out.
The storyline in the movie, while being rather straightforward, was a bit too mundane, bland and generic for my liking. Perhaps I've seen a tad too many horror movies over the 40+ years of watching horror movies. Now, I am not saying that "Womb" was a bad movie, not at all. However, what I am saying is that the script proved a bit too mainstream and run-of-the-mill for me. But I am sure that newcomers to the horror genre will enjoy the movie a lot more than I did as a seasoned horror veteran. So writer Mike Walsh just didn't manage to pen down a script and storyline that impressed me particularly much.
I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in "Womb", which actually was something that spoke for the movie. I do enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen, and it should be noted that the acting performances in the movie were fair.
Personally then a man wearing a ghillie suit and snow goggles just doesn't strike me as particularly menacing or frightening. It was, actually, downright cringeworthy and laughable in my opinion. The killer came off as a joke instead of as a malignant deviant to be reckoned with.
"Womb" is not a movie that I would recommend to seasoned horror fans. But if you have just recently started out your venture down the path of horror movies, then by all means give "Womb" a gander.
The movie was, oddly enough, rather devoid of mayhem and carnage. Sure, there was a little bit, but I would be lying if I said that I wasn't except more killings throughout the course of the movie, as it was a slasher movie of sorts after all.
Watchable, but hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing.
My rating of director Bridget Smith's 2025 movie "Womb" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.
