Kelly Clarkson has officially kicked off her Studio Sessions residency in Las Vegas after delaying the opening night.

The Grammy-winning singer was originally supposed to launch the residency on the Fourth of July, but she canceled the first two shows due to vocal strain. The first show ended up happening on Friday (July 11) at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Vegas.

Kelly has 15 more shows scheduled for the residency across July, August, and November. It’s unclear if the two canceled shows will be rescheduled or not.

Less than four hours before his show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace was due to start last night, Rod Stewart called in sick.

The 80-year-old rock legend said in a post to his Instagram Story, “I am sorry to inform you that I’m not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10. Your tickets will be valid for the new date.”

Caesars also confirmed the postponement.

Billed as “The Encore Shows,” the series follows 200 performances in the Grammy winner’s 13-year residency after he decided he didn’t want to stop playing Caesars. The current “Encore” run lasts through October 4.

The Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer cancelled three shows in 2024 due to illness.

In 2023, Stewart canceled an Australian tour date six hours before the show, citing a viral infection that irritated his throat.

Indie production outfit Brandon Studios is turning its talk show series “Obsessed” into a weekly live series, Variety has learned. The talk show, hosted by Brandon Studios founder Brandon Stewart, will air live every Tuesday at 5 p.m. Pt on the Brandon TV SVOD app starting April 1.

Michael recorded the entire conversation and played it for Curtis over the phone. At Turning Woods, Lulu (Alexa Havins) sneaked out of her room and pulled the fire alarm, giving her a chance to grab clothes and escape. When she wound up on the side of the road, she saw a cat coming and waved them down.

Exclusive: Richard Schwartz has joined Alfonso Cuaron’s Esperanto Filmoj as Head of Television. The Oscar-winning filmmaker behind Y Tu Mama Tambien, Gravity and Roma has leaned into television, and Schwartz will spearhead development and marketing efforts for the slate. This comes as the company prepares to launch Cuarón’s highly anticipated Apple TV+ series disclaimer, the miniseries thriller that stars Cate Blanchett and debuts October 11.

Schwartz spent over two decades working in film and television for artists including Ben Stiller, Conan O’Brien, Michael J. Fox and David Lynch, under whom Schwartz began his career working on the auteur’s landmark Mulholland Drive and The Straight Story.
