Welcome to your weekly rundown of the biggest stories from Netflix’s top 10 hourly figures drop for the week ending February 2nd, 2025. An interesting week in the top 10s with a few returns, a new entry in Netflix’s overall top 10 most watched list, a major documentary flop, and much more!
Note: In this report of Netflix’s hours viewed from January 27th, 2025 to February 2nd, 2025, we’ll use “Complete Viewings Equivalent,” or Cve, expressed in millions. That means we divide the hours viewed announced by Netflix by the runtime of films or series. It allows for better comparisons between films and series, but it’s not an audience metric. It is the minimum number of viewings if they were all complete from the first second to the last of the film or season.
Table of Contents 1. The Recruit just got fired.

In the grim setting of “Go Ahead, Brother,” we meet Oskar Gwiazda, a former police officer trying to work through the chaos in his life after a traumatic event. His character embodies a deep battle relatable to modern societal problems, especially mental health and familial duty.
The narrative doesn’t hold back, sending Oskar into a downward spiral that is sparked by his father’s suicide, a moving event that is highlighted by the heavy weight of debt that Oskar and his sister Marta are now dealing with. This first act sets the stage for a personal tragedy and serves as a microcosm of the larger societal problems of despair and economic unpredictability that many people face today.
As the story goes on, Oskar’s shift from being a police officer to working in the criminal underworld is both interesting and scary. His descent into crime reflects a desperate attempt at survival,...

Directed by Maciej Pieprzyca, Go Ahead, Brother is a complicated tale of an ex-cop who found himself amidst a financial crisis, because of which he ended up doing things that had quite an impact on his life. I call it a complicated tale not because of the kind of conflicts that came into the lives of the characters or because of the philosophies purported by the writers but only because of the way the screenplay was written. The way the screenplay unfolded made it difficult for me to understand the motives of the characters and how everything was linked together. So, let’s find out what happened in Go Ahead, Brother season 1 and if our protagonist is able to achieve what he set out for.

The ending of Go Ahead, Brother was centered around Oskar trying his best to save his brother-in-law, Sylwek. Oskar’s father had amassed a lot of debt and then died by suicide, thereby forcing his son, Oskar, daughter, Marta, and son-in-law, Sylwek, to deal with it. While Marta and Sylwek decided to hunker down and live miserably, Oskar gave away ownership of a part of his house to one of the loan sharks, Tomczyk, so that he could set up a strip club there. Since Oskar had lost his job as a policeman after his jittery nerves led to the death of one of his colleagues, he started working as a guard at a mall where everyone was committing tax fraud. He set his sights on Grzesiek because he was seemingly carrying the most amount of moolah, and roped Sylwek into his plan to hit his house. Oskar looted Grzesiek’s house,...
