Just okay...

The plot is kind of obvious, the characters are quite stereotyped, but the film is cool, has a light and fun atmosphere. Not awful, nor great. Just okay.

Shallow and Unfunny

The forty and something promoter Fernanda Garcia (Mônica Martelli) is a single futile woman that runs a business of wedding parties with her gay partner Aníbal (Paulo Gustavo) and her friend Nathalie (Daniele Valente). Fernanda is obsessed to get married and has one night stand with several men always believing that she has found her prince charming. However she always is disappointed with her choices. Until the day she meets the architect Tom (Marcos Palmeira). Has Fernanda finally found love?

"Os Homens São de Marte... E é pra Lá que Eu Vou!" is a shallow and unfunny comedy with silly story and futile lead character. Mônica Martelli is present in practically every scene giving the sensation of narcissism since she is one of the screenwriters. Paulo Gustavo is the best that his movie offers with his usual jokes. My vote is four.

Title (Brazil): "Os Homens São de Marte... E é pra Lá que Eu Vou!" ("The Men Are from Mars... It is to there that I Go")
