"Prince and Family" is a true entertainer that kicks off with fun from the very beginning. Dileep is back doing what he does best-making us laugh out loud. It's been a long time since his comedy made me laugh this much.
One of the big highlights is the combination of Dileep and director Jhonny Antony. In many films, I've felt Jhonny Antony sometimes misses the mark, but here, he is used perfectly. The comic timing between the two is spot-on, and it keeps the film moving at a lively pace.
Dileep's strength in expressional comedy truly stands out. The way he handles those moments-nobody else quite does it like him.
The second half shifts gears with full energy. It boldly mocks the entire YouTube influencer culture while staying socially relevant. There's a strong message about the dangers of modern social media behaviour, which is woven smartly into the storyline.
It's not all laughs, though-the emotional scenes in the second half work really well. The lead actress takes full control during this part of the film and proves she's a strong performer. Her presence adds depth to the movie.
While the story takes the lead more than the performances, everyone in the cast brings their best. And once again, just like in Jana Gana Mana, Sharif Mohammed comes through with a story that has solid social relevance.
With a good balance of humour and message, Prince and Family is definitely worth watching.

This is a well-crafted Malayalam film that skillfully blends humor with meaningful commentary, offering both entertainment and food for thought. Its sharp take on modern digital culture-particularly the obsession with likes, followers, and online fame-strikes a nerve. The film portrays how some vloggers, in the absence of virtual validation or "smart money," lose their sense of humanity and spiral into toxic behavior. This bold and honest depiction likely explains why many YouTube channels and influencers have chosen not to promote it-it holds up an unflinching mirror to their world. Even though the film includes a few mildly suggestive dialogues, they are far from vulgar, making it a movie that can be comfortably enjoyed with family in a theater setting.

A decent family entertainer throwing light on a sensitive topic in this status quo.
The plot of the story is about Prince,a boutique owner in his mid 30's with a long manifestation of getting married lands into a family life which turns his personal, social and professional life into a rollercoaster ride.
Binto Stephen & Sharis Mohammed has blended family emotions, humour, fun and laughter in the story in perfect proportion and has brought out a good one time family watch. A few sequences that initiated before the intermission felt a bit awkward initially but later turns out to be an essential flavour when considering the story as a core. Binto has crafted the story and perfectly highlighted on the negative influence of social media addiction on personal and family lives. As a debut filmmaker he has succeeded in bringing a good family subject hooking the right emotions giving the audience a trace for reflecting on our personal lives.
Decent performance by Dileep in the movie as Prince and conveyed the emotions and dialogues as demanded by the character. Manju Pillai has given a standalone performance in the movie through her dialogue rendering and emotions. Notable performances by Sidhique,Bindu Panicker,Raniya,Johny Antony,Dhyan,Josekutty & Vijay Jacob.
Good work by Renadive & SagarDass for bringing a perfect family entertainer by Dileep after a long gap. Kudos to Sameera Saneesh for bringing Dileep in his best form.
A good family entertainer as promised by Listin leaving a thoughtful message.

Dileep delivers one of his better performances in recent years, portraying a character that is both humorous and heartfelt. His acting feels more grounded and emotionally rich compared to his recent outings, which makes this film stand out in his filmography.
The story revolves around the lives of social media influencers, shedding light on the toxic culture of certain vlog creators and the damaging impact they can have on common people's lives. It's a timely and relevant subject, and the film handles it with the right balance of humor and seriousness.
The lead actress deserves special mention for her strong and convincing performance. The supporting cast and technical crew have also done a commendable job in bringing the film together.
While the background music (BGM) does its part in enhancing the emotional scenes, the songs unfortunately fall short, being below average and forgettable.
Despite that, "Prince and Family" is definitely a good watch, especially for family audiences. It blends comedy and emotion effectively and offers a meaningful take on modern-day issues. Compared to Dileep's recent releases, this film is certainly a refreshing improvement.

- 'Prince and Family' directed by Binto Stephen starring Dileep is an average comedy drama with good social messaging but fails in execution. The message they wanted to give is relevant but the execution was very predictable and generic. The performances was decent with Dileep delivered a good performance. This film also had Dileep trying to make the audience laugh using the same comedy used by him in so many films. The film started off well, humour worked for me and It had a feel - good vibe but then for me the film just started to lose momentum as the chapter 'Princess' started. The second half was average and clichéd. Uruvashi with her little screen presence delivered a powerful scene and Manju Pillai was brillaint throughout. Overall it was an average watch with a good message and decent performances.
