Why Was Brock Lesnar Angry After Beating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania?
Image
Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is the most overrated and overdone feud of the century. They had some of the most mediocre matches in WWE history, yet the company considers this rivalry as one of the greatest ever. This designation can be given to Stone Cold vs The Rock, John Cena vs. Edge, Cm Punk vs. John Cena, etc. However, Reigns and Lesnar do not deserve to be in that category.

In between the matches at WrestleMania 31 and Summerslam 2022, they had a very boring match catalogue filled with not so great matches. This rivalry reached peak boredom in 2018 when Vince McMahon was desperate to make Reigns the new face of the company. When Brock Lesnar won the Universal title in WrestleMania 33, everyone knew who his opponent was going to be next year.

What is Stopping Brock Lesnar From Returning to WWE?
Image
The “Beast Incarnate,” Brock Lesnar, has been noticeably missing from WWE television, and it appears that his comeback may be farther off than we initially believed. Some fans have demanded that The Conqueror return, but legal troubles keep him out of action. He has been named in the Janel Grant lawsuit hence, it looks like those troubles are not going to be over soon. So what is this lawsuit about and why is it preventing Lesnar from returning to wrestling? Where do Brock Lesnar’s problems stem from?

Brock Lesnar was named recently in the ghastly Janel Grant lawsuit

Brock Lesnar’s problems stem from a lawsuit filed in January 2024 by a former WWE corporate employee named Janel Grant. She accused former CEO, Vince McMahon of trafficking her for sexual purposes.

Sons of Kiss’ Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons Record 10 Songs Together
Image
They were made for lovin’ music, too! Evan Stanley (son of Kiss singer-guitarist Paul Stanley) has teamed up with Nick Simmons (son of Kiss singer-bassist Gene Simmons) to record an album’s worth of music together.

Late last year, Evan and Nick posted a video of them singing an acoustic version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence” on Instagram. Now, they’ve taken their musical partnership to the next level.

A few days ago, Evan posted a photo of himself with Nick, captioning it, “One song turned into 10 real quick.” He followed that up with another post of the two performing one of their new tunes alongside singer-guitarist Jacob Bunton, writing, “Wrote this one with our buddy Jacob yesterday.”

Paul Stanley commented on the performance simply with the word, “Magic!!!!,” while Nick’s sister Sophie Simmons wrote, “We Want The Album.”

Evan is already an accomplished musician, as...

‘When The Stars Gossip’ Episodes 7-8 Recap & Ending Explained: Will Ryong And Eve Die?
Image
Episodes 7 and 8 of When The Stars Gossip may be the most adrenaline-pumping episodes to date. In these episodes, the astronauts end up in huge trouble after the space station comes into the path of some debris. At the same time, Ryong has to make sure the egg that he has fertilized remains incubated until it becomes a morula. This proves much more complicated because he won’t have a power source for the incubator. With limited time on their hands, Ryong and Eve’s fates are left undetermined. I feel like the show has slowly been building to this point. Seeing as we’re only at the midpoint of the show, things are going to get super exciting and way more interesting as we go into the latter half. Sure, the space stuff will be behind us, but from my understanding, this show is mainly about family and childbirth. I...

Multiple Watchers Reportedly Set to Appear in Upcoming ‘Avengers’ Films!
Image
MCU is slowly preparing for the release of two highly anticipated ‘Avengers’ movies, ‘Doomsday’ and its sequel, ‘Secret Wars.’ Both movies are going to be a part of phase 6 of the MCU and even though we still don’t know what the plot will be, we can assume that the movie will adapt ‘Time Runs Out’ and ‘Secret Wars’ storylines, at least partially.

Marvel Studios first announced ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ in July 2022, with Destin Daniel Cretton set to direct and Jeff Loveness writing. However, by November 2023, both left the project, and Michael Waldron took over as the writer. At the July 2024 Sdcc, the film was renamed ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ with Robert Downey Jr. cast as Doctor Doom, replacing Jonathan Majors’s Kang.

The Russo brothers are now directing both movies, and filming is set to begin in March 2025, with a release planned for May 1, 2026. The film will also feature the Fantastic Four,...

The Bolt Strike Legendary Pokmon, Thundurus, will be appearing in Pokmon Go Raids in its Incarnate Forme. This means that it will have a genie-like appearance with a menacing stare when approached in a Raid Battle. Towering over the Trainer, Thundurus will have a max Raid Boss Cp of 46044 and will be stronger if paired with a Rainy or Windy Weather Effect. However, this shockingly strong Legendary Pokmon should be taken down easily by at least six high-level players with the right counters.

Shelley Duvall Gave Her Funniest Performance with These Comedy Legends
Image
Shelley Duvall's legacy shines in Time Bandits, offering physical comedy alongside Michael Palin in standout performances. The film's episodic structure allows for Duvall's dual role to add humor and heart to an enduring love story. Duvall's comedic timing and expressive face elevate her role in the absurd-yet-epic struggle between good and evil.

The late Shelley Duvall, who passed away on July 11 at the age of 75, was known for her sunny and warm onscreen persona, beginning with her early work for director Robert Altman. It helped her Wendy Torrance become a memorable heroine in the classic adaptation of The Shining, and let her steal the show in movies like Roxanne and The Portrait of a Lady. It also grounded the ethos of her classic TV series Faerie Tale Theatre, which she executive produced and hosted, and which reflected her spirit even when she wasn't onscreen. With those credentials, it's...

Jennifer Lopez Is Tracking A Renegade Robot In The Trailer For New Netflix Movie, Atlas
Image
On the movie screen, Jennifer Lopez is known for being a romantic comedy queen in films like "Maid in Manhattan," "Monster-in-Law," and "Marry Me." However, on Netflix, she appears to be pursuing a wholly different crown and going after action movie and genre glory. Sure, Lopez has made her share of genre thrillers, especially early in her career: "Money Train," "Anaconda," "U Turn," and "Out of Sight," most notably. Yet it's her turn in 2023's "The Mother" that marked her debut as a fully-fledged action star and now she's following that up with a lead performance in a big-budget sci-fi shoot 'em up, if the new trailer for Netflix's "Atlas" is any indication.

As a co-producer as well as star of "Atlas," Lopez has put together a pretty promising team to bring her next Netflix-distributed action venture to life. Alongside co-stars Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, and Mark Strong, the...

Blumhouse Television and WWE are grappling with a scripted series about wrestling chief Vince McMahon.

The two companies have teamed up to develop The United States of America Vs. Vince McMahon – the first scripted portrayal of the Chairman and CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment.

It is the latest project featuring the colorful character – WWE is working with The Ringer’s Bill Simmons to produce a multi-part docuseries about McMahon for Netflix.

The United States of America Vs. Vince McMahon will delve into WWE during the 1990s, at the time Rupert Murdoch had purchased the New York Post. For years, Post writer Phil Mushnick regularly hammered McMahon in his column with headlines like ‘Legislators Give WWE A Free Pass On ‘Roids’ and ‘McMahon Skips Through the Cemetery’ eventually capturing the attention of the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York.

In 1994, the U.S. government...

Westworld (2016)
HBO Now New Releases: May 2020
Westworld (2016)
May isn’t quite summer yet but it is usually time that the networks start wrapping up their newest shows and preparing for a relatively fallow summer period. Since HBO isn’t a network, it has no such business model. But May sees the winding down of some HBO blockbusters all the same.

While there are some notable new releases for HBO in May 2020, the bigger story might be the things that are ending. Westworld concludes its third season on May 3 while new series Run wraps up on May 24. Thankfully the film losses in May aren’t too bad for HBO, unless the Agent Cody Banks saga drives a lot of traffic.

The most notable TV premiere in May is I Know This Much is True, a book adaptation starring Mark Ruffalo. This is a very bleak story coming along at a bleak time in history but perhaps those two things will cancel out.

Following last weekend's monster performance, led by Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet and MGM's Creed II, this weekend sees just one new wide release in Screen Gems's latest horror The Possession of Hannah Grace, which means the story will remain with last weekend's top titles as 2018 continues its torrid pace. After delivering the second largest five-day Thanksgiving weekend opening ever, Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet is looking at a second weekend at #1 and a domestic gross that should finish at or near $120 million come end of day Sunday. Right now we're expecting a second weekend drop right around -54% for a sophomore frame totaling $26 million or so. MGM's Creed II could face some competition for second in Universal and Illumination's The Grinch, but we're expecting it to edge out the animated title with a drop right around -50% for an $18 million second weekend...

First Trailer for Live-Action 'Rampage' Movie Starring Dwayne Johnson
"Oh, what, you didn't know about the 30 foot wolf?" Warner Bros has launched the first official trailer for Rampage, the live-action version of the classic 1980s video game about apes and monsters destroying city buildings. Yeah, they actually went and made this. Can you believe it?! Rampage the movie, get out of town! From the director of San Andreas and Incarnate, Rampage follows a primatologist named Davis Okoye, played by Dwayne Johnson, who shares a bond with the big white ape George. Suddenly something weird causes him to start growing in size fast. The full cast includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello, Naomie Harris, Marley Shelton, Jake Lacy, Breanne Hill, Jack Quaid, Joey Thurmond, and P.J. Byrne. You shouldn't be surprised to hear that this looks fun, but it also looks like CGI mania. Yes, there is building smashing. I prefer this Dwayne Johnson over the one in Jumanji any day.

Domino Trailer: Game of Thrones' Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Stars in Brian De Palma Thriller
Joseph Baxter Apr 5, 2019

Brian De Palma action thriller Domino will see Game of Thrones stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Carice Van Houten opposite one another.

Legendary director Brian De Palma, who amongst other iconic efforts, directed the 1996 inaugural film in the lucrative-as-ever Mission: Impossible film franchise, returns to the action thriller table with Domino. The film is headlined by a duo Game of Thrones cast members whose characters we can't wait to see share the screen on the series before its imminent end, namely the Kingslayer himself, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and the Red Witch herself, Carice Van Houten.

De Palma’s directorial offering Domino – not to be confused with the late Tony Scott’s 2005 Keira Knightley-starring bounty hunter biopic – is being distributed in the U.S. by Saban Films.

Rampage Movie Adds Jeffrey Dean Morgan to the Cast
Jeffrey Dean Morgan may have his hands full trying to rule over post-apocalyptic communities as Negan on The Walking Dead, but that isn't stopping the actor from staying busy on the big screen, too, as he's now joined Dwayne Johnson in New Line Cinema's movie adaptation of the 1980s video game Rampage.

Deadline reports the news of Morgan's casting in the colossal creature feature. The Walking Dead actor joins a cast that includes Johnson, Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello, Jake Lacy, Marley Shelton, Pj Byrne, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald, and Breanne Hill.

According to Deadline, Morgan will play "Agent Russell, who works for a covert government division called Oga and rolls with serious swagger and attitude." That shouldn't be a problem for someone who has brought Robert Kirkman's comic book creation Negan to life with such a menacing and charismatic touch on The Walking Dead. Morgan shared...

'Beauty and the Beast' Hopes to Tell a Tale of a March Opening Weekend Record
Kevin Kline, Ewan McGregor, Emma Thompson, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen, Audra McDonald, Emma Watson, Josh Gad, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in La Belle et la Bête (2017)
Thus far, 2017 is without a $100 million opener, but that will all change this weekend as Disney's latest animated classic turned live action film, Beauty and the Beast, is set to open in over 4,200 theaters in Us and Canada. In addition to becoming the first $100 million opener of 2017, this "tale as old as time" may challenge Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for the March opening weekend record and rank among the top ten all-time domestic openers. All told, this weekend will see the top twelve smash the $122 million the top twelve grossed from the same weekend last year. In fact, Beauty and the Beast should easily top $122 million all on its own. Anticipation for Disney's Beauty and the Beast has been sky high for some time now as Disney has taken every opportunity to market the fantasy feature online and across all its media channels. As of March 6, online ticket retailer Fandango.

Joe Manganiello & Marley Shelton Set Sights on Film Adaptation of Rampage
It looks like Dwayne Johnson could be getting some more help going up against the colossal creatures in Rampage, as Joe Manganiello and Marley Shelton have reportedly set their sights on key roles in the film.

According to THR, Manganiello (Pee-wee's Big Holiday, True Blood, the upcoming The Batman) is in talks to play the "leader of a private military group" in New Line Cinema's film adaptation of the ’80s Midway arcade game Rampage, which featured massive monsters wreaking havoc in cities. Shelton (Lifetime's The Lottery, Scream 4, Death Proof), meanwhile, is in negotiations to play a "scientist and astronaut" (the latter of which may conjure up images of space cities being demolished in the 1999 sequel Rampage 2: Universal Tour).

Should Manganiello and Shelton officially come aboard the project, they would join Johnson and Naomie Harris in the cast's ranks. According to THR, Harris will play "a geneticist with...

Naomie Harris to Co-Star with Dwayne Johnson in Adaptation of Rampage Video Game
Viewers know her as Moneypenny in the James Bond films, Selena from 28 Days Later, and her Oscar-nominated role as Paula from the recently buzzed-about Moonlight. Now, Naomie Harris is joining Dwayne Johnson for the film adaptation of the Rampage video game.

THR reveals the news of Harris coming on board the adaptation of the 1986 massive monsters Midway arcade game that spawned several sequels.

While specific plot details are unknown, the New Line Cinema film is expected to incorporate key story elements of the video game, including the three colossal creatures, whom Rampage fans will remember as the giant gorilla George, the looming lizard Lizzie, and the jumbo werewolf Ralph. In the video games, these monsters were once humans, but were mutated after experiments went wrong at Scumlabs, and they proceeded to vent by stomping and toppling big cities.

According to THR, Harris will play “a geneticist with a moral streak...

Abattoir Review
Abattoir poses such a savage, provocative haunted house concept, but much like Brad Peyton’s Incarnate, this re-modeled genre construct is wasted on plodding execution that squanders any inherent excitement. Darren Lynn Bousman erects his very own funhouse amusement out of bloody murder locations, building a true-to-form haunted house without the haunts. Dead souls inhabit the very rooms they were slain in, all so an old, vengeful creep can make peace with his own family’s passing. It’s an architect’s dream hobby mixed with Satan’s own interior decorating, yet we’re never granted access to the horrors that pulsate from room to room. Tonal airlessness, momentum-halting CGI, disconnected storytelling – these are just a few of the code violations that stack against 2016’s most daunting renovation nightmare.

New English resident Jebediah Crone (Dayton Callie) acts as Bousman’s head designer, a cult leader who strengthens his connection to...

Newswire: Weekend Box Office: Mo’ Moana Blues
Disney’s newest animated film/merchandising opportunity, Moana, pulled in $28 million at the domestic box office this weekend, bringing its total gross to a healthy $119.9 million dollars and securing it the No.1 spot for the second week in a row. But even that distinction couldn’t keep an icy breeze from blowing through Disney’s subtropical profit margin, as Box Office Mojo reports that the film dropped 50 percent from its opening weekend on what was, overall, a sluggish weekend at the movies.

The weekend’s only other new release, the Brad Peyton exorcist/superhero mash-up Incarnate, fared either quite poorly or surprisingly well, depending on how you look at it. The film came in at No. 9 with $2.65 million, which is decidedly not great for a film opening on 1,737 theater screens, but is impressive for a film that didn’t screen ...

Last Weekend (2014)
Top 10 Box Office Takeaways: ‘Moana’ and ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Show Legs
Last Weekend (2014)
The post-Thanksgiving weekend is one of a handful every year that offer no new wide studio release. Last year Universal took a successful shot with the off-beat Christmas-themed “Krampus.” Its $16 million opening weekend pushed Top Ten grosses ahead by a small margin from this year’s total.

The strength of two strong holdovers — Disney’s “Moana” and Warner Bros.’ “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” — almost brought the numbers to par. They also pushed the totals above three similar bleak weekends (Super Bowl, post-Labor Day and Halloween) often shunned for top films.

The only new semi-wide release was Blumhouse Productions’ “Incarnate,” directed by Brad Peyton (“San Quentin”), who took advantage of the freedoms of a low budget to make a horror film. The net returns — against a low budget, digital advertising and later earnings — make the just-over $2 million total look pretty good.

The Top Ten

Incarnate (2016)
Moana Wins Box Office Weekend #2 with $28.3M
Incarnate (2016)
The weekend after the Thanksgiving holiday is traditionally one of the weakest frames of the year, where holdovers almost always reign supreme over new releases. This year, only one new movie was released, the horror-thriller Incarnate, but, as expected, last weekend's winner Moana had no trouble repeating atop the box office, taking in $28.3 million. Incarnate barely cracked the top 10, opening in ninth place with $2.6 million, continuing a tradition of new releases failing to win this weekend.

Since box office stats became official in 1982, a new release has only took the top spot three times. The first time it happened was in 1988, with the release of The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, which won with $9.3 million. In 1991, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country became the second new release to conquer this weekend with $18.1 million, with The Last Samurai becoming the last new release to do so in...

'Moana' Repeats at #1, Topping Slow Post-Thanksgiving Weekend
Louise Bush in Vaiana : La Légende du bout du monde (2016)
In a repeat of last weekend, Disney's Moana finished atop the weekend box office for a second week in a row followed by the third weekend of WB's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Overall the weekend played pretty much as expected with a few over-performers here and there along with the weekend's widest new release Incarnate falling short of its meager expectations. Moana dropped 50% from its three-day opening weekend, finishing #1 with an estimated $28.37 million bringing the animated feature's domestic cume to just under $120 million. Internationally Moana added another $32 million from 30 territories as its international gross now stands at $57.5 million for a worldwide haul topping $177 million. Within Moana's international performance it debuted in five significant markets including a #1 finish in France with an estimated $5.2 million, a $5.1 million opening in Russia, $2.7 million debut in Mexico and UK, along with an estimated $2 million opening in Spain. The film's top international market...

Exclusive Interview: Brad Peyton Talks Incarnate
With director Brad Peyton’s latest effort, the horror flick Incarnate, we’re thrust into the terrifying world of demon possession as we follow Dr. Seth Embers (Aaron Eckhart), a scientist who has the ability to enter the subconscious minds of the possessed. In an effort to save a young boy (Gotham’s David Mazouz) from the grips of a demon with powers never seen before, Embers delves deeper into pure evil, while facing the horrors of his past.

During the recent press day for the film, we sat down for an exclusive chat with Peyton to speak all things Incarnate, as the director discussed his amazing cast, how he had to get over his fear of horror movies, the preparation that the actors went through and much more.

Check it out below and enjoy!

Kudos for gathering such a strong cast for Incarnate. Was that important to you?

‘Incarnate’ Review: Aaron Eckhart Never Excites as an Exorcist
Incarnate (2016)
“There are fates worse than death,” says a character half-way through “Incarnate,” and one of them happens to be this movie. Strident rhetoric is required for describing Brad Peyton’s latest film, a maddening hodgepodge of ideas that range from undercooked to unoriginal. The problems begin with the premise. Dr. Seth Ember (Aaron Eckhart) is a battered scientist who has the remarkable, albeit mentally debilitating, ability to enter the subconscious minds of the demonically possessed. He has built an impressive career with this skill. So impressive, in fact, that one day someone from the Vatican is sent to visit Ember,...

'Rampage' Director Brad Peyton Teases The Rock's Special Creature Relationship
Rampage is a 1986 arcade game where players control one of three giant monsters trying to rack up points by destroying cities while avoiding being shot at by tanks and helicopters. There is a very, very thin setup for it all involving a lab whose experiments mutated three people into the giant gorilla, lizard and wolf, but it's otherwise a totally plotless arcade game.  That gives the minds behind the big screen adaptation of the game plenty of leeway when turning it into a movie. And now thanks to an answer director Brad Peyton gave Fandango during a Facebook live chat about his new horror movie Incarnate, we know a bit more of what to expect from his giant monster movie starring Dwayne Johnson. And the answer is kind of surprising. When...

Incarnate Review
Never heard of Incarnate? Of course not – it’s another under-the-radar Blumhouse special without any marketing campaign, starring a random Hollywood actor (Aaron Eckhart) who’s seemingly thrown to the proverbial low-budget production wolves.

Much like The Darkness or Visions or The Veil, there’s a reason why Blumhouse is sweeping Incarnate under the mainstream rug – much to director Brad Peyton’s despair – but, frankly, it’s the film’s own fault. Maybe Blumhouse would have been a little more sympathetic if this demonic possession flick wasn’t so-generic-it-hurts boring, even with a dash of Wachowski magic added to the fold (by way of The Matrix inspiration). Also, can someone please save David Mazouz from 2016 already, so he can stop starring in underwhelming Blumhouse horror fare?

Eckhart stars as family-man-turned-wheelchair-riding-super-exorcist Dr. Seth Ember, whose specialty is “evicting” demons (aka “parasites”) from the minds of possessed victims. He figured out that...

'Incarnate': Film Review
Aaron Eckhart, Miles Teller, and Christine Evangelista in K.O. - Bleed for This (2016)
As he proved most recently in Bleed for This and Sully, Aaron Eckhart is far too talented to waste his energy on dreck. Unfortunately, the actor doesn’t yet seem to have absorbed the lesson, judging by his starring role in the latest low-budget effort from the prolific Blumhouse production company. Despite the actor giving it his all in this B-movie horror film, yet another in a never-ending series of demonic possession-themed, Exorcist knock-offs, Incarnate, much like its central character at key moments, barely seems to have a pulse.

Eckhart plays the wheelchair-bound Dr. Seth Ember, whose tragic past we glean...

Movie Review: The half-baked horror of Incarnate would have worked better in comic-book form
Incarnate is a comic-book movie in search of a comic book. Perhaps there, in the newsprint-scented safety of those tri-color panels, its cartoon characterizations, hilariously blunt expository dialogue, and broad leaps of logic would find an appreciative audience, accustomed to prioritizing badassery over all. (Not to mention that a superhero comic-style deus ex machina climax would have been preferable to the ploddingly telegraphed ending seen here.) As it is, the film is based on an original script by Ronnie Christensen, writer of the Halle Berry shark-attack flop Dark Tide; like that film, Incarnate was quietly deposited in theaters with almost no fanfare, save for a very silly trailer and a handful of web ads.

Aaron Eckhart stars as Dr. Seth Ember, a scruffy hybrid of a Constantine-style demon hunter, one of the “extractors” from Inception, and a Dr. Gregory House-style prickly genius. The edgy crime procedural vibe is further ...
