Sloane Marie Daniels (Emma Elle Paterson) is a real-murder aficionado and blogger. She's trying to promote her "If I Go Missing" journal where all the forensic information gets stored in case a woman goes missing. Two years earlier, she dropped out of college after her best friend Katie went missing. Her friend was murdered and dismembered. The step-brother Nathan is everybody's suspect except for Sloane. She is still living at home with her mother and a new neighbor moves in. Elliot inherited the house across the street after his aunt died. Sloane suspects foul play although her cousin Camilla (Hannah Vandenbygaart) finds him hot.
This is a Tubi crime mystery. That alone dictates that this is going to be a B-movie. The production is second tier, but it is surprisingly functional. They probably need a minor male red herring character. The problem part is Sloane's reckless investigation. She is so bad at it that it makes it hard to solve the mystery. Stealing Camilla's material is so Scooby-Doo. It would be so much more compelling for her to ask. Be an adult. Beg Camilla to do it. The movie does lose me for a moment with the wig. That one is completely stupid. I like the journal idea and hate almost everything else that Sloane does. She never gives a reason why Nathan can't be a suspect or a good one for Elliot. I don't need her to be Sherlock, but she shouldn't be this bad.

In light of the increasing prevalence of crime documentaries, this film represents a significant contribution to the genre of crime narratives. It provides a captivating viewing experience that sustains audience engagement throughout its runtime. Despite the incorporation of several plot twists, some viewers may perceive these developments as somewhat foreseeable; nonetheless, this predictability does not diminish the overall enjoyment of the film. For aficionados of true crime, this made-for-television movie constitutes a compelling option for an evening of leisure. Furthermore, the performances delivered by the cast are commendable and enhance the film's overall quality. I also hope it happens, as there is a possibility of a sequel that could be made.
Okay, so this movie is basically terrible but I loved it anyway. The main girl is so dumb. She fixates on this new neighbor being a murderer after talking to him for 30 seconds and it becomes her whole personality. Her stealing her cousins fingerprints, DNA and blood just to make her an "if I go missing" folder was by far one of the most insane things I've ever seen.
Basically, if you like lifetime movies with horrible acting and crazy drama you will probably enjoy this one. I have no shame when I say this movie had me entertained the whole time. I even downloaded Tubu just to watch it! I say two thumbs up lol!
