Almost 9 years after that fatal day, the French movie industry starts to heal. Une Amie Dévouée is the inpersonification of what everyone felt, but most probably didn't do. An entire nation was bleeding and they all needed a friend, someone that listened, someone to share their thoughts, emotions, their scares, their inner struggle. Chris is all that and the prologue episode is very promising.
This production feels and breaths like the core of the French movie industry. It is all about dialogues and the subtile nuances of life. This series make you feel a lot. It is curing and caring, but it doesn't avoid controversy.
On Friday, November the 13th, 2015, France collectively got wounded. John Lennon's "imagine" started the healing process and this series shows how resilient La Ville de l'amour actually is. The prologue is tragical, yet painful and funny at the same time. It breaths shame and love, trauma and kindness.

I would have given it a 9 if not for the beginning which stated it was fictitious. That was so odd..as if no one could figure it out without searching the internet. This must have happened in real life, I am pretty sure this is a true story but they don't want to disturb the mentally ill subject who they've given a new identity and was probably a male.
The events are too accurate within the four parts. Why would anyone think to write this if there wasn't a hint of truth to the full story? Or were we suppose to get a lesson in something from the character that harbors in groupies? I don't buy.

The story of a liar, a mythomaniac, a female liar who pretended to be a victim of the Bataclan slaughter's relative. Her purpose is getting money from this situation. It is inspired from actual events. There has aleready been numerous films speaking of the Bataclan massacre victims, but not from this angle. This is very interesting, pulled by powerful performances. I would have perfectly imagined Karine Viard or Camille Cottin - LA CONASSE - in this role. This is a true tremendous document, very realistic and the lead woman character. With and without make up, she is not the same person at all. And it is also a tribute to the victims of this awful killing.
Chris is a French woman living in Paris. She is an upper 30 ish Rocker Chick who gets jilted from a Tinder date, and 5 minutes in she already shows us her true colors. As she is going home via Metro, when a woman enters the subway who was just involved in the true life Batalcalan Attacks that took place at a concert with many casualties.
Chris then proceeds to join and befriend survivor groups, speak/ console a comatose victim, and be the opposite of a wall flower with the survivor group, who are now branching out into a full fledged non- profit.
Okay, I don't do well with cringe factors. Borat and others...And I especially can't believe it when you read about people faking cancer and milking the Go Fund Me's. But, something kept me drawn in, and it was, despite this horrible woman, the semi truthfully story kept me riveted. I kept watching, awaiting her cumuppence (sp)?
