Gekijôban Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission

This Month Will Be an Excellent One for ‘My Isekai Life’ Fans

That feeling of getting physically transported into another world... we don't quite know it, but there is a whole segment of anime stories designed to tell these types of stories. One of them is about to get easier to watch, thanks to Hulu. This month, the streaming platform is debuting 2022's My Isekai Life — the underrated anime series that tells the story of a regular guy that gets transported into a fantasy world. Season 1 arrives on Hulu on June 23.

As several isekai anime series go, this one also has a long, long title that you probably won't memorize. The full title is My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World! At least, the title indicates what exactly happens when the story begins. In the fantasy world that Yuji Sano (voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi in the Japanese original and by Scott Gibbs...

Miss 'Hunter x Hunter'? You Can Now Revisit The Anime Franchise for Free
Image
Hunter x Hunter fans are used to doing one thing: waiting. Ever since they fell in love with the manga and anime series, they have spent more time waiting for new episodes than they did watching them — all because the manga series created by Yoshihiro Togashi (Yu Yu Hakusho) became infamous for entering lengthy hiatuses. So, all they can do is rewatch the anime series and movies again and again. This time, however, you will be able to stream franchise entries for free, thanks to Pluto TV.

This is part of the huge development that the free streaming platform announced at the beginning of the month. The platform's "Ani-May" event added over 800 hours of anime content to the catalog, and fans will be able to check out entire channels dedicated to one or several titles that exhibit episodes 24/7. One of the events that celebrates the month of anime is the...

Hunter x Hunter Gets an Exciting Netflix Update
Image
The Hunter x Hunter anime series has been streaming on Netflix for years now, but fans have not had any new franchise updates on the streaming platform until recently. Starting this fall, however, two Hunter x Hunter movies are making their way to Netflix's catalog.

Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rouge and Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission are both set to land on Netflix for the very first time this coming fall, with the official Netflix website now displaying these films in its gallery, including descriptions, cast info and an expected release date of Nov. 1, 2024. Hunter x Hunter has long been cemented as a fan-favorite martial arts/adventure anime, adapted from an equally successful manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi (also well-known as the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho). The Hunter x Hunter movies have long been difficult for fans to stream, so their addition to Netflix is certainly great news for fans.
