A Bold Attempt at Emotional Storytelling

"Jongli" is an emotional action drama that attempts to balance family bonds, action, and social messages. The story revolves around a father-daughter relationship, blending intense emotions, thrilling action, and a touch of romance. While the film succeeds in delivering a heartfelt narrative, it struggles with pacing and execution in some areas.

Siam Ahmed shines in his performance, showing remarkable improvement from his past works. His dedication and versatility make his character believable and engaging. Bubly also delivers a decent performance, and the child actor adds an emotional depth that resonates with the audience.

The direction, background score, and overall presentation have a few noticeable flaws, likely due to budget constraints or the challenge of balancing multiple elements. However, the film does a commendable job of capturing emotions, making it relatable for family audiences. The storytelling could have been tighter, but the underlying social messages add value to the movie's overall impact.

Why Watch It?

✔ Strong emotional core focusing on family bonds ✔ Siam Ahmed's best performance yet ✔ Well-placed social messages that resonate ✔ A mix of action, comedy, romance, and drama

What It Lacks:

❌ Pacing issues, with some scenes dragging unnecessarily ❌ Over-reliance on emotions rather than a gripping screenplay ❌ Some predictable and repetitive moments

Final Verdict:

"Jongli" is a bold attempt at blending emotion with action. If you enjoy family dramas with deep emotional storytelling, this film is worth a watch-just lower your expectations a bit. But this movie is good.

Social Cause and Cinema

To all my deshi people out there, please watch this movie. Give it a shot, offer your constructive feedback, and let's help our industry grow in a really good way. Respect to the makers!

So, I went into "Jongli" on Chorki completely blind - no trailer, zero idea what it was about. Honestly, for the first bit, I was just waiting, thinking, "Okay, if this doesn't get interesting in the next 10 minutes, I'm out." But then, wow, the story really started to unfold, and I found myself getting completely hooked.

And here's the kicker: it wasn't just a good story. As it developed, I was genuinely surprised to find it tackling crucial social causes. It was amazing, and I have so much respect for the makers for that alone. What makes "Jongli" truly stand out, especially from a Bangladeshi cinema perspective, is how bravely it brings up two incredibly important issues. Beyond the general social preaching, the film specifically touches upon "Touch", and then, BAM! That ending. Seriously, when they dropped the phrases on "Parenting" right at the very end as the big reveal of why everything happened? That was a total shocker and honestly, it's the best part of the whole movie for me. It just made everything click. It's genuinely rare to see a single Bangladeshi film address topics like these so directly and powerfully, and I have immense respect for the filmmakers for bringing these crucial causes to light.

The casting across the board was really good. You can see the talent there, and I'm really hoping to see them grow their skills even further in future projects.

More than average

Very hyped movie but it didn't fulfill my expectations. The promotion of the movie was extraordinary. That draws spectators come to the cinema hall and watch the movie.

Many good things like the acting of the main leads, nice songs, and good BGM .But a weak story, slow screenplay, and childish VFX make this movie not world-class.

Siam, Boobly, and the child lead look great. Songs are greatly composed by the great Prince Mahmood.

I don't like the climax of the movie personally. The writer put the usual hit material into the movie that looks unnecessarily for me.

However, as a Dhallywood movie lover, one time watchable I must say.

Super

Blend of action, drama, and family emotions that keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. Directed with finesse, the movie delivers high-energy fight sequences, gripping storytelling, and a strong emotional core that resonates with family audiences. Well-choreographed action scenes and beautifully shot family moments. The background score adds intensity to the fight sequences, while the songs provide the right emotional weight. A perfect entertainer for families who enjoy action-packed films with strong moral values. While the storyline follows some familiar tropes, the execution, performances, and high-octane action make it a must-watch.

A quite good movie with emotional turmoil

One of the cleanest works in Siam's recent movies. The story was impressive; the actors and actresses tried their level best to give the best output, and honestly, they did it so well.

Especially Bubly, the lead actress of this film, has done this assignment so well that sometimes her acting foreshadows the lead's acting.

In my opinion, the music was good...especially when it comes to emotional movies, you need to choose slow tempo music, and they did that.

Honorable mention goes to the child actress Rudromoyee; she did a splendid job. Most of the time you will think about her acting skills. She definitely deserves a national award for this.

Let's talk about the cons. The climax, when they arrest the lead for accusing child abuse and the court session, could have been longer and more interesting. It finished really quick, which also affected the movie. Also, some points they need to work on dialogue. Overall it was a great attempt when it comes to the director's debut film.

Final verdict: Though it seems underrated, obviously it's a must-watch movie for Bengali movie lovers.

Cinematic triumph that captivates audiences with its compelling narrative and stellar performances.

"Jongli" showcases the brilliance of Bangladeshi cinema. With its compelling storytelling and outstanding performances, especially by the young Noireeta, it is a must-watch for audiences seeking quality cinema.

The dedication of the entire cast and crew is evident, resulting in a film that is both engaging and thought-provoking. Noireeta's portrayal of Pakhi is nothing short of extraordinary. Despite her young age, she brings a depth and authenticity to her character that resonates profoundly with the audience.

Siam Ahmed once again proves why he is one of the most versatile actors in Bengali cinema today. His portrayal of a rugged, determined yet emotionally vulnerable character is both powerful and nuanced.

In short, with Noireeta's extraordinary performance and Siam Ahmed's magnetic screen presence, this film is a must-watch for all Bengali cinema lovers.

Whats up with the 10 star reviews?

It could be an above average movie at best. I Don't know why some people are calling it a cinematic masterpiece. I mean it is nowhere near that. The story is good but presented in a way that would cringe any typical movie buffs. I felt uncomfortable so many times with the cringe dialogues and weirdly paced storytelling and songs in every 15/20 minutes. The last 20/30 minutes is good. I think this is why the movie is being praised so much because it has an emotional ending. But other than that, despite having a good story, i did not like this movie at all.

Alright enough with the bad things. The acting was really good. Specially siam and the child actress did really great in their roles. The story is good. The songs are good but too many to remember. Could be better to use less songs.

Jongli is a masterpiece

Siam is one of my favorite actor. I was first mesmerized by his acting in the drama' mon shudhu mon chueche '

Then, daamal, shaan, Taan , mridha vs mridha were good too.

But this Siam in Jongli !

Oh my God. The script , the action, the emotion !

All are just amazing.

Siam was beyond his ability. What a great performance.

Audience was totally connected with the movie. The child artist nailed the Pakhi character.

The heart of the movie was Siam and Pakhi.

Bubli did great as well.

The background music and cinematography was top notch.

Overall, in this small budget, the effort is outstanding. It's a great addition to our Bangladeshi cinema.

Congratulations to the whole team.

A Missed Opportunity for Impact, not that good

"Jongli" delivers an emotionally touching story, but unfortunately, its execution falters due to inconsistent performances. While the narrative has potential, Siam Ahmed's portrayal feels underwhelming, and certain scenes suffer from overacting, making it difficult to fully immerse in the film. Instead of being a masterpiece or even an average watch, the movie struggles to leave a lasting impression.

There is talk of a possible remake by Tamil or another regional Indian film industry, which could potentially refine the storytelling and elevate the performances beyond what was achieved in this version. Given the shortcomings of Jongli, that remake might offer a more compelling experience. As it stands, this film fails to resonate in the way it intended.

Emotional & Meaningful

Still I am having goosebumps and got tears in my eyes when I remember the departure of Pakhi and Siyam's cry of pain. 10/10 for its powerful message on how parenting impacts a child's mind. A must watch family movie which you can watch with all of your family members. It reflects the meaning of family bonding and values. Both Siyam and child actor Pakhi were awesome in the movie. Also Bubly has done great impact on this. I think if I compare with other Eid movies "Jongli" is number one movie according to story and movie plot and also perfect casting for every characters. So just go to cinema halls and enjoy the movie with popcorn and have full of tears and emotions.

"Jongli" - Untold Stories Trapped Within the City's Walls...

Eid always brings new films, and one of the most talked-about releases this Eid-ul-Fitr was "Jongli." While the title might suggest a Tarzan-like jungle tale, you'd be mistaken to think so! This film dives into the darkness within the city, the unspoken grief of society, and the transformation of human beings.

In this story, people don't just fall in love-some lose, some win. Beneath the shadows of the city's towering buildings, a disturbing reality is revealed.

---

Synopsis (Spoiler-Free)

University student Johnny falls for the wrong person, turning his life upside down. Gradually, he transforms into a 'Jongli' - a wild, untamed soul. Just then, a child named Pakhi enters his life. But can Pakhi bring the 'Jongli' back to humanity?

This story sweeps you into a whirlwind of love, pain, and the bonds of family - raising a haunting question: Who are the real wild ones among us?

---

Characters & Performances:

Siam Ahmed (Johnny/Jongli): One of Siam's best performances to date. His eyes, body language, and portrayal of trauma and despair were remarkable. Though, at times, his dialogue delivery felt slightly mechanical.

Shobnom Bubly (Tithi): Though her screen time was limited, she appeared graceful and convincing. Her costume design also stood out beautifully.

Nairita (Pakhi): It's rare to witness such a mature performance from a child. Her eyes, expressions, and words carried emotional depth. She is certainly a rising star to watch for.

Supporting Cast: Shahiduzzaman Selim, Rashed Mamun Apu, Sohel Khan, and a special appearance by Afsana Mimi - all added strength to the story. Rashed Mamun, in particular, delivered an outstanding performance.

---

Direction & Execution:

Director M. Rahim didn't just make a film - he took the audience inside the story. However, stretching a 1 hour 20-minute story into a 2.5-hour runtime did feel a bit unnecessary. Still, the sound design, camera movements, and framing reflected genuine effort and attention to detail.

---

Cinematography & Technical Aspects:

While the camerawork wasn't extraordinary, the color grading - playing with black, white, and orange hues - was noticeable. At times, the visuals gave off a Tamil cinema vibe, though it wasn't distracting. Bubly's costume design and Siam's real hair and beard contributed to a raw, realistic feel.

---

Final Thoughts:

"Jongli" is not just a movie - it's a mirror that reflects you, society, and even your parents in a new light. This film will make you think: What kind of person are you? What kind of parent do you want to be?

A must-watch with family - it's bound to leave you with lingering thoughts long after the credits roll.

Personal Rating: 7/10.

Fully packed action and emotional roller coaster film

"Jongli" is a thrilling ride packed with emotion, action, and a strong central performance. If you enjoy stories about personal transformation, justice, and survival against all odds, this one is worth watching.

"Jongli" is a gritty action-drama that dives deep into the raw and ruthless world of survival. Set against a backdrop of violence, power struggles, and emotional turmoil, the film follows a man who is pushed to his limits and forced to unleash his inner beast to protect what he holds dear.

Siam Ahmed delivers one of his most intense performances to date. His transformation from a seemingly ordinary man to a fierce fighter is gripping and believable. His physical presence, emotional expressions, and dialogue delivery keep the audience engaged. Bubly, as the female lead, brings depth and softness to the otherwise wild and intense narrative. Their chemistry adds emotional weight to the story.

The direction by M. Rahim is sharp, with fast-paced storytelling and slick editing. The action sequences are brutal and realistic, which adds to the raw atmosphere of the film. The cinematography captures both the chaos and beauty of the jungle and the darker corners of urban life, giving the movie a strong visual identity.

One of the strong points of the film is its background score and sound design, which elevate the tension and drama in key scenes. The script, while not revolutionary, is tight and effective, delivering a message about justice, resilience, and the power of transformation.

However, some parts of the film might feel overly dramatized or predictable to viewers familiar with the action-revenge genre. Still, the emotional depth and performances make up for those minor weaknesses.

Heart touching Story💝

I want to say, what can be considered the best movie of Bangladesh? Siam Ahmed, Shabnam Bubli and a young artist are acting here. There are many more. They are acting beautifully. This is an amazing movie. The way it has been made. You can be a father without being a father. What can I say? It is an amazing movie. I will definitely recommend it. If you like it, it is a great movie for you. Best Bangladeshi Film. To be honest, such an emotionally beautiful movie is being made in a place like Bangladesh. No one will be able to stop crying till the end. And the music is so peaceful. In a word, it is the best movie of 2025.

A Parachute hair oil movie 😂

If you've ever wondered what it's like to watch a 2.5-hour-long commercial, Jongli has your back. It's not really a film. It's a billboard with a background score. A feature-length love letter to Parachute hair oil-because apparently, cinema is now just sponsored content with fight scenes.

Let's get one thing straight: this is not a movie. It's a painfully long YouTube ad, except you can't skip it after 5 seconds.

The premise? Irrelevant. The plot? Who cares? The only thing that gets screen time more than the lead actors is a glowing blue bottle of hair oil that somehow ends up in every other scene. The villain might as well be dandruff, because that's the only battle this film is truly concerned with.

"Jongli" promised action, emotion, and drama. What it delivered was a full-fledged commercial with moments of unintentional comedy. The only jungle in this film is the wild forest of corporate sponsorship choking any attempt at real storytelling.

It's not just a case of product placement gone too far-it's product replacement. They've replaced the plot with brand messaging. Characters exist to hold bottles. Scenes exist to show off hair. The only growth arc we see is hair growth.

So if you're looking for a cinematic experience, look elsewhere. But if you're looking to improve your scalp health and get subtle hints on how to use hair oil during an emotional breakdown, this is the film for you.

Fantastic and heart touching script

The first half of the movie was very extraordinary, realistic, and emotional too people can relate this and overall beautiful story and all cast did their job very well superb... Hope the creators will make more movies like this type of realistic story... Songs was also lovely but, in the beginning, there should be a more realistic feeling in the physical fight... Compared others two or three superhit movies which released with jongli I felt it's best story. Everyone should be watch it once with their family in their free time educational script for everyone and i think people should appreciate realistic types story.

Cinematic masterpiece

This movie is not for everyone-and a film doesn't always have to align with reality. The main purpose of this movie is to deliver a profound human message. It shows that one can be a true father even without being the biological one. It also reveals how the unconditional love of a child can transform a broken life and bring back hope.

This movie beautifully portrays the deep emotional bond between a father and child. It reflects what a father's love should truly be like.

That's why every father should watch this film-those who are fathers now, those who will become fathers in the future, those who may never be able to become fathers, and even those who have lost their children. This movie can gently touch the unspoken emotions hidden deep within their hearts.

However, people who lack emotion, empathy, and compassion-or those who prefer violence and action-packed films-may not enjoy this movie.

one time watch

The movie can be watched one time i guess. The plot can be predictable, some scenes can make you fill unnecessary added. Although siam acted really well, the kid acting is an average. She speaks too slow most of the time. Most disgusting thing i have seen is , the actress is a doctor but her parents agree to give her daughter for marriage to the hero who is just a worker in a mechanic shop. I guess anything can be possible in movies, nothing taken from the reality. The court scene is bad, the logic and argue given by the prosecution lawyer is dumb. That's just added unnecessary, who give these kinda logic to a court?and the defence lawyer is a cartoon.
