This is a highly surprising and cerebral drama , filled with intrigue , irony , comedy , twists and turns . It tells the tale of Nacho (Eduard Fernandez who gives an anjoyable and natural acting) , a veterinarian , who faces the women who have meant something in his life . Nacho carries out a swindle to his father-in-law , regarding five cows ; to undercover these events , he plans a twisted set-up ; then it takes place a complex plot that leads to unexpected results . Before him appear his recently separated wife Laura (Lucia Quintana) , his young lover Ona (Michelle Jenner) , his ex-girlfriend Marga (Maria Morales) , his mother Amparo (Petra Martinez), his sister-in-law Carmen (Marta Larralde) and finally his psychologist called Andrea (Nathalie Poza) . With all of them he has pending themes and has to confront all of them to resolve them.
The film contains humor , drama , thrills , plot twists and , adding tense sequences especially in its final part in an unexpected denouement . Based on failed TV series formed by 6 episodes (2010) titled : Alcalá Meco ; Croacia, Nigeria, Uruguay ; Cayo Coco ; Marrakech ; Portugal and Marbella . The original as well as entertaining idea about a manipulator veterinarian becomes involved into a dark intrigue is overspread throughout the movie , but not completely satisfactory , including conventional pitfalls . In spite of it , the movie results to be better than average , being surprisingly good and compellingly realized . The motion picture is pretty well , although sometimes stagy and packs some turns ; however is entertaining for continuous surprises and twists . Eduard Fernandez at her best , he steals the show as a pathologic liar who swindles his father-in-law with fateful consequences . The picture relies heavily on the relationship between Nacho/Eduard Fernandez and his many women . It contains a lot of sexual scenes among them , especially some strong sexual scenes between Eduard Fernandez and Marta Larralde .

Mariano Barroso's last film starts as most of his films, with a robbery plan. Soon we realize that this plan is the biggest McGuffin from his filmmaker career. The plot could be placed with difficulty further from a thriller or suspense movie. In exchange we find a delicate, funny and intelligence trip to the main character psyche. An exceptional- never use better this word-Eduard Fernández shows his maturity problems and manipulative skills through his conversations with six women that orbit around his life. The film benefits from its birth as TV show in a simple staging that let us to enjoy without distraction the words and actors. In Fernandez hands -and rest of female cast- this trip to himself become a tour through the essence of cinema.
