The storyline of the movie is exquisitely beautiful, poignantly capturing the essence of a father-son relationship. Boman Irani's directorial debut is a true masterpiece, showcasing his versatility as not only a talented actor but also a skilled director and writer. This emotionally charged film is a rollercoaster of emotions, effortlessly shifting between moments of laughter and tears. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and firmly believe that more films like this need to be made. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew! I love this movie. Great work by Bomain Irani. I will recommend this movie to all of my contacts. Being a father to a son and son to a father, i can relate it to my life. The direction is perfect. The emotions are real. The dialogues are perfect. The storyline is commendable. This is an award winner movie. I truly enjoyed every frame of the movie. Guys when in this world where others are after nonsensical topics, suddenly you see this movie. You feel like you got tge food for your soul. Kudos to film maker. The way the whole story is presented is perfect. I cant think of any word other than awesome, perfect, must watch infinity times.
Boman Irani debuts as a director with this film, and with good reviews all around, it was inevitable that I wouldn't miss it.
Amay, a young architect with a tumultuous relationship with his father, is forced to stay with him for 48 hours after the sudden death of his mother. With constant bickering and fights at home, along with professional stress, how will things unfold for the father-son duo?
The premise may not seem extraordinary, but it is the screenplay that makes this film special. The strained relationship between father and son keeps the narrative engaging, as both parties are right in their own way. If you're 30+, you may relate to many of the incidents. The film's slow pace works in its favor, allowing you to connect deeply with the characters. Whether it's Amay's boss, girlfriend, or sister, all his relationships feel straight out of reality. However, the monologue by Amay in the office meeting, though impactful, feels cinematic against the otherwise realistic tone of the film.
Avinash Tiwary is perfect in his role-you can't imagine anyone else playing it. Boman Irani literally runs the show with his screen presence and impeccable acting skills. Their chemistry feels natural and works well, but a loophole remains: the film never explicitly mentions why they are estranged. Bandish Bandits fame Shreya Chaudhry is equally good and puts her best foot forward in this role.
I've always adored Boman as an actor, but with this film, he proves he is a class director who should make more movies. The wide shots, especially the use of rain as a backdrop, are a masterstroke. The color grading is another brownie point for the film, adding to its charm.
This is one of the best films of the year. Don't miss this light yet impactful movie-it will stay with you for a long time.

Nice script but the screen play was great
Top notch direction & acting
Casting looks just perfect
A must watch movie.
Locations looked great and realistic The car driving scene was realistic .
Interesting thing was , every closed looks taken looked very much relative and realistic.
No doubt the director did a great job. Hotel scene was made great. Usually overacting happens in this kind of storyline but this case was very fine. Every character ensured that only the required acting is done.
The office room scene was also fine , the boss character did a great job. The casting was great for the boss. Only suggestion was to make the daughter character a bit more detail.
Overall a great picture.

This decade we watched Animal, a movie that talks about Father-Son relation in a very distutbing and violence way possible. And now we see this masterpiece by Boman Irani, The Mehta Boys, which I believe is genuinely a better way to portray this relationship of Father and Son.
Such a sweet and inspirational story, I wish this movie gets the appropriation that it deserves. Aniwash Tiwary nailed the character and I must say Boman Irani proved that he can sit on the Director's chair.
There is nothing to complaint about. The performance of each character, though there only a few faces we could spot, but all they actors did a very good job.
The movie successfully shared its vision to the audience. It compiled many un-spoken territories in the individual and social atmosphere. Where I could see the forgotten soul of the nation and emotional and tricky bond of a father-son.
I genuinely wanted this movie to shine like a source to get inspired emotionally. It really worked well.
Thanks Boman and team to make it happen.
