Onaayum Aattukuttiyum which was produced by Mysskin for his home banner Lone Wolf Productions, had garnered appreciation from audience, the film has not reached the desired level at the box-office, due to paucity of funds to promote. This has initiated Mysskin himself to plunge directly into marketing by sticking posters of the film in various southern cities of Tamil Nadu.
Ilayaraja took just the minimum remuneration for technicians who worked with him in the film. Raja did not take any remuneration for his work in the film.
The film has no heroine and no songs.
On 16 February 2013 Mysskin announced his new production company Lone Wolf Productions and two days later newspaper ads came out with the title of his new film, Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum, and its design.
In June 2013, a trailer of Onaiyum Aatukuttiyum was released on YouTube,Though Ilaiyaraaja was signed as the composer, the trailer had Austrian composer Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 5.
