What A Great Cast!! We Thought EVERYONE was perfect in their parts and we are big Owen Wilson fans. Always have been always will be and we loved the soundtrack!! I like the idea of filming at AMAZING COURSES!!! We loved Ted Lasso, if this comes close to being as entertaining as that, it'll be a big hit!!! I'm disappointed and Sad for the other reviewers that seem intent on being completely negative about everything :/we will watch it all, and we will watch for a second season... not a thing wrong with wanting to escape into a hopeful scenario, especially these days, we need this. Again we thought the SOUNDTRACK WAS GREAT!!!!

To my knowledge, there has never been a TV show based on golf. There's only so many times that one can watch Happy gilmore. For people who play golf or may be a fan, I think the majority of you will like it. It's not hilarious but it's got some funny moments. Solid cast, does a good job in the first 3 episodes of laying a foundation of their background. Just hope it goes longer then ted lasso did. Be nice if they get to film on the best golf courses in the world. This could easily become the best sports tv show in my opinion, there's been plenty of great sports movies throughout the years but not a whole lot with tv series. Fingers crossed 🤞

Golf is a slow game, but episode one takes off at the pace of a golf cart downhill loaded with cases of beer and a teenager at the wheel. Writing is crisp and can veer into the overly metaphoric clever genre, but the tone is light. The plot gets to the point with well placed drives, pitches, and putts. The characters are well defined if a bit cliché. The sentiment is there (opening monologue) but reality sets in nicely with conversations that in the "streaming clever" genre al la typical Owen Wilson (and Paul Rudd) are balanced, humorous, and never too earnest. Well, Wilson is always earnest, but his sales pitch was just over the top enough to be endearing. This role was made for him. Good start to a series. Let's see if they can play 18 holes and stay true to the first tee shot.

Strong opener. Owen Wilson brings his usual charm but dials it into something more grounded and broken (but with redeeming qualities). It's got that Ted Lasso vibe - funny, warm, and full of potential without ever feeling forced. The setup is solid, the tone lands well, and there's a good balance of heart and humour. The young golf prodigy is a standout, and even early on, the characters feel layered with room to grow. There's clearly more to explore here. Feels like it could really grow into something great - can't wait to see it unfold. Looking forward to the next episode already - let's go stick 💪

We have all experienced that lull in summer TV. That boring time between in June when not much is released that's worth watching. Thank God for Apple for giving us this golf slice of heaven. Owen Wilson and Marc Maron are my new favorite tv duo. Their comedic timing is effortless. Then there's the whole golf protégé part of the story that ignites a love for the game- even for amateurs like me. Do yourself a favor and don't pay attention to the "professional" critics like Rotten Tomatoes. Stick is laugh-out-loud funny, relatable, endearing, and motivational. If that puts it in a Ted Lasso category- who cares?! Stick is great TV and for once I'm glad summer is here. *queue the theme song from Caamp*
