Goteborg Film Festival has unveiled the programme for its 48th edition, with 22 feature world premieres and four feature competition sections.

World premiere titles include Asier Urbieta’s Spanish thriller Pheasant Island in the international competition section. The debut feature from Spanish filmmaker Urbieta sees a young Basque couple’s relationship put to the test when a dead body is found on the mysterious titular island.

In a recent interview, Lana Del Rey revealed that the Bond producers rejected a song she hoped would serve as the James Bond theme in the fourth Daniel Craig film, ‘Spectre.’ Fans have long hoped the “Summertime Sadness” artist would be featured in a James Bond film.

While speaking backstage to BBC at the Ivors in London on May 23, Lana Del Rey, 38, revealed she did submit a song to the James Bond Producers, which was subsequently rejected.

While backstage at the Ivor Novello Awards in London on Thursday, Lana Del Rey detailed which of her songs was written — and rejected — for a James Bond film.

“I mean, how has that not happened yet?” Del Rey replied when asked by BBC if she would consider writing a theme song for the franchise. The Born to Die singer then sang the chorus to her track “24” — which was one of the 14 songs that appeared on her 2015 album, Honeymoon — before adding, “I wrote that for them.”

UCP is developing 1313, which has been described as a horror series that plays on the Universal Monsterverse, aka a reimagining of the classic 1964-66 CBS sitcom The Munsters.

Lindsey Anderson Beer is set to showrun the drama. The project is being developed by James Wan, Beer and Ingrid Bisu for UCP. Atomic Monster and Lab Brew are the production companies.

Executive producers are Beer and Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett for Atomic Monster. Bisu is a co-exec producer.

The last time someone tried to dust off The Munsters for the small screen was in 2017, when NBC opted to reboot the comedy with Odd Mom Out creator Jill Kargman and Seth Meyers. A reboot of “The Munsters” and a series adaptation of the 1976 Universal Pictures comedy “Car Wash” are among the projects Universal Studio Group (Usg) currently has in development, Variety has learned. In addition, Universal International Studios (Uis) and Carnival Films are developing a drama series about a newlywed woman accused of murdering her husband on their honeymoon.

The “Munsters” reboot is currently titled “1313,” a reference to the fictional family of monsters’ address at 1313 Mockingbird Lane. It is not currently set up at any network or streaming service.

The new show is described as a horror series that “lives and breathes within the Universal Monsterverse,” per the official logline. The project was developed by James Wan, Lindsey Anderson Beer, and Ingrid Bisu. Anderson Beer will serve as showrunner and executive producer via Lab Brew, with Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett executive producing via Atomic Monster. Bisu will be a co-executive producer.

Actress Jasmine Bhasin is gearing up for ‘Warning 2’ and has dubbed in Punjabi by herself for the first time. Talking about the same, Jasmine said: “Earlier in ‘Honeymoon’, somebody else had dubbed for me, but this time I wanted to do it. Luckily, I have dubbed throughout the film.”

“Since I am looking for more offers in the Punjabi film industry, I have been working on my spoken Punjabi skills too. But this dubbing experience for Warning 2 was a great one.”

"Succession" has thrown its game board up in the air. The masterful third episode of season 4, "Connor's Wedding," featured the long-awaited death of Logan Roy (Brian Cox). His children, miles away from their father during his last moments, spent the episode trying to process their loss.

Episode 4, "Honeymoon States," portrays Logan's family and inner circle convening at his apartment for a wake. Also putting in an appearance is a returning face: Marcia Roy (Hiam Abbass), Logan's third and final wife. Last we heard from Kerry (Zoe Winters), Marcia was "shopping in Milan -- forever." She didn't show up for Logan's 81st birthday in the season 4 premiere, "The Munsters." She tells Kendall (Jeremy Strong) that she and his father had been exchanging "intimate phone calls" every morning and evening, but the truth of that is uncertain.
