Nice to see our favorite characters together again

This movie has better animation than the series and it is great to see our favorite characters from A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun.

The basic premise for the story is interesting. A space plane crashed 3 years ago, yet miraculously, none of the 88 passengers died. This event caused the commercial space plane to be cancelled and instead, a space elevator was constructed.

Not long after the crash, a young girl named Arisa became a popular singer. She was a survivor of the crash. At the beginning of the movie, Toma and Index meet Arisa, become friends, and try to protect Arisa from magical attacks.

If you just focus on the individual scenes you will be far more satisfied than if you look at the story development. It seems like someone came up with a list of scenes he wanted and ignored the plot. There are so many holes in the story that I found it annoying. Why do characters fight? Why do they suddenly become allies? Why do they limit their fighting in one scene and go all out in another? To be fair, these kinds of problems are common in a lot of action movies.

If you are a fan of these anime series, then this is a must-see movie. Otherwise, I think you will be confused.
