Druski is ready to unearth more comedy from a funeral home.
He and Kenya Barris are developing a feature as a starring vehicle for the viral comedian that will be based on his recent short The Diggers, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. Druski’s imprint 4lifers Entertainment and Barris’ production company Khalabo Ink Society are behind the project.
The movie is inspired by Druski’s latest short The Diggers, which debuted on social media last week and includes appearances from Shane Gillis, Theo Von, Navv Greene and BenDaDonnn. Described as an old-school buddy comedy, the feature will focus on Druski as Brandon Digger, who inherits his late father’s funeral home but soon learns that it’s not as easy to run as it seems.
At this stage, it’s unclear if Gillis or Von will reprise their roles.

Sketch comedy aficionado Druski has built a brand around the notion of “could have.” There’s Coulda Been Records, the parody talent-scouting show he started on Instagram Live during the pandemic; the Coulda Been House YouTube reality web series it spawned — which premiered in February with guest stars Snoop Dogg and Chris Brown; and Coulda Fest, his 17,000-person sold-out comedy and music festival held at State Farm Arena in Atlanta in September. But in real life, the comedian, born Drew Desbordes, doesn’t believe in what could have been.
“Nothing is a mistake,” says Druski. “Everything happens for a reason. My whole life is like that.”
Such has been the case for the 30-year-old who has amassed a following of more than 15 million across TikTok and Instagram with his hilariously relatable skits portraying everything from airport debacles to relationship squabbles and athletic fanaticism — the latter of which led to him...

Comedian, actor, and cultural anthropologist Druski decided to dive into his music bag today, releasing “No More Social Media” with South London rapper Kairo Keyz. Druski and Kairo trade menacing bars over a foreboding beat crafted by the producer Muddy. While Druski is known for jokes, he sounds like he’s taking his craft dead seriously on “No More Social Media,” rhyming “I speak truth, I don’t need no Bluetooth speaker. We play outside, we got the inside, pigs dem picking up ruggers.”
