Anand Sribala is a well-crafted investigative thriller that stands out as one of the finest recent entries in the genre. Written by Abhilash Pillai, the film delivers an engaging narrative with a screenplay and dialogues that are both captivating and immersive. Vishnu Vinay, despite being a debut director, has executed the film with remarkable finesse, ensuring that it never feels like the work of a newcomer.
Arjun Ashokan shines in the lead role, delivering a performance that does full justice to his character. The supporting cast, including seasoned actors like Indrans and Aju Varghese, seize their opportunities and leave a lasting impact. Though action sequences are minimal, the brilliant camerawork makes them truly stand out. Aziz Nedumangad and Nandu, despite having limited screen time, make their presence felt with commendable performances.
Saiju Kurup once again proves his versatility by seamlessly adapting to his character, while the background score complements the film without overshadowing the narrative. Aparna Das, Siddique, Malavika Manoj, and Dhyan Sreenivasan also deliver solid performances in their respective roles.
Overall, Anand Sribala is an impressive thriller that successfully combines strong storytelling, compelling performances, and technical finesse. It is a must-watch for fans of the genre.

A mystery murder investigation drama inspired from a real incident espoused by a worthy screenplay.
The plot of the movie revolves around Anand Sreebala,a police aspirant who gets involved in an informal investigation of an abruptly closed sensitive case.
Abhilash Pillai has penned the screenplay tactfully accommodating the enormous cast giving them avenues to perform. The story moves in a moderate pace until the mystery and suspense unfolds in the final lap of the story. Abhilash has developed a good character arc for Arjun portraying layered emotions, struggles and insecurities through the story.
Bold performance by Arjun Ashokan supported with notable performances by Aparna,Siddique,Saiju Kurup,Nandu,Malavika Manoj,Indrans,Bashid Basheer,Manoj,Azees & Aniyappan.
Kudos to Vishnu Vinay for executing the story perfectly in his debut directorial and proved his mettle as a filmmaker carrying the legacy of his father. Special mention to Kirandas & Ranjin Raj for their contribution in materializing the movie.
A decent murder mystery drama with strong performances.
Rating - 3.5/5.

Mystery and thriller in Malayalam cinema are always exciting, as history has proven. This one surely adds to the list of decent suspense thrillers.
The story follows a man with a knack for looking beyond the obvious who takes it upon himself to solve a six-year-old case involving a medical college student. A case that was closed as suicide has many loopholes, and he goes all out to find the murderer and get justice for her parents.
An interesting mystery unfolds through the characterization of the protagonist, who can sense the presence of his dead mother. While the suspense or twist isn't exactly shocking, the neatly written screenplay keeps you hooked. The motives and investigative procedures make sense, adding to the authenticity.
Arjun Ashokan gets his act right and delivers a solid performance. Aparna Das lends strong support and isn't just eye candy. Sangeetha is the real show-stealer here-watching her after decades is a treat, and her screen presence, even in limited screen time, is just wow. She deserves a full-length role. Saiju Kurup and Siddique are good in their parts.
Vishnu Vinay, in his directorial debut, has done a commendable job. If the story had more depth and something solid to chew on, it would have been even more impactful. The background score is good and adds value to the movie.
It's a good attempt in the genre and is definitely worth a watch. Don't expect anything extraordinary, but it can be enjoyed with family.

This movie has amazing camera, great story and awesome direction. Really loved the acting skills of DYSP(Saiju kurup) in this than anyone else. Everyone did a great job and awesome comeback for the actress ( Sangita madhavan nair)who came on as the mother of the hero.
THE ONLY REASON ANYONE WILL HAVE NEGETIVE COMMENT IS BECAUSE IT WAS NOT LEAD BY THEIR FAVOURITES. Arjun Ashokan gave full justice to the role. Must watch movie. The movie has thought through many intrinsic details which is only seen in movies of great class. This movie comes in the class of movies like Forensic, memories etc. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Such an amateur script and direction. Even thought this is the first film of the director, being the song of a successful director, he should've known how outdated everything is about this movie. But then again, even Vinayan never really updated himself, and by the end of the 2000s, he also became outdated as a director, so I guess, I can't expect his son to be any better. There's an interesting film hidden in this confused mess that keeps reminding that it's amateurish. It also has the classic fighting against the system while upholding the status quo stupidity included for no reason. So many of the actors I've seen who have given good performances in other films are all bad in this film. At least, I just wanted to utilize the PVR-INOX passport before it expires and didn't spend money I haven't already spent.
