The film is based by a book by Swedish author Max Lundgren and was also made as a Tv serie in the seventies.
The industrial area in the end of the movie is not in Norway but just outside of Vänersborg in an actual steel industry.
A police officer is played by Harald Hamrell. Hamrell played Mats in the original 1975 film version of the Book.
