Meghan Chadeayne was still an aircraft mechanic in the Navy during filming. She said in an interview that at one point, she finished a night shoot at 4:00am Monday morning and had to drive two hours back to base still partially covered in fake blood. She rushed to shower and dress and just barely made it to morning formation, exhausted.
Meghan Chadeayne's character was originally going to have a merkin (fake pubic hair), but they decided to use a "skin" patch over her vagina instead to make her look shaved.
The main character of Barbara (played by Meghan Chadeayne) is a homage to the character of Barbara in the original Night of the Living Dead (1968) by George Romero.
Meghan Chadeayne said she got involved with this film when she met director Rickey Bird on the set of another horror feature. He jokingly pitched the idea of a grindhouse style short with a nude prostitute fighting zombies and she said she'd love to do it. A few months later, she was stripping down and running around locations stark naked covered in blood.
When asked what advice she'd give new actresses about taking nude roles, Meghan Chadeayn said, "Go for it! Especially if the film or production company has a good reputation! Being naked isn't a crime, especially if there's a good reason for it (like killing zombies.) I know actors/actresses get a bad rep or whatnot for 'exposing themselves' early on in their career, but the majority of even mainline actors have shown something for the sake of their films!"
