Official Blue Lock series artist Yusuke Nomura has taken to social media to hype up a brand-new manga coming to Weekly Shonen Jump, calling it and its own artist -- a well-known acquaintance of his -- 'scary.'

Embers is a new soccer-focused manga set to debut in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #10, written by Kei Kurumazagi and illustrated by Soutarou Nishii. The story will center on Haitani, a delinquent who is very good at fighting, and his introduction to soccer. Manga fans have been showing growing excitement for the title, as it is reminiscent of classics like Slam Dunk. Nomura, seeing some strong competition for Blue Lock in the newcomer, has joked that Nishii is "out to crush" Blue Lock. His good-natured support isn't all that surprising, given that Nishii was originally a staff member of Blue Lock's manga team and was responsible for many of the dynamic backgrounds.

When people look at Shonen Jump these days, its easy to notice how many of their biggest manga are coming to a close. Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia are over, Jujutsu Kaisen is nearly done, and even some of the lesser series like Mission: Yozakura Family are in their last arcs. Its easy to wonder where all the major shonen titles are coming from.

However, Shonen Jump is much bigger than just Weekly Shonen Jump, and there are plenty of new titles coming out all the time. Some of them are brand-new, others have been around for a while but dont have an anime yet. Although the North American digital release of My Hero Academia Chapter 430 wont be available until Aug. 4, 2024, on Viz Media and the Manga Plus app, the superhero shonen series has now officially concluded in Japan. In Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #38, the biggest names behind the titles currently serialized in the magazine have all written their emotional farewells to Horikoshis series. The inclusion of more food trucks, stalls and extended hall hours made for an amazing combo, as well. Previously, halls opened at 10am, but this year opened at 9am, giving you a whole extra hour to be able to run to your desired booth! While Mission: Yozakura Family has been on-air since April this year, the English dub version of the anime is yet to hit the screens. Fortunately, its international release date has finally been announced.

The show, an adaptation of the manga series of the same name, tells the story of a high school student, Taiyou Asano, whose only friend is Mutsumi Yozakura, who comes from a family of spies. When Mutsumi’s overprotective brother targets Taiyou, Taiyou gets embroiled in the dark secrets of the spy family.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will soon be hitting a major site in English dubbed form, with every episode of the popular anime series seeing a release on the Disney-owned streaming service Hulu in a matter of days.

Via Hulu, all 293 episodes of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will be heading to the platform in English dubbed on June 1, 2024. Presently, only the first 35 episodes can be streamed on Hulu, which will join Apple TV+ in providing the entire series in English dubbed. Currently, Crunchyroll offers Boruto only in English subbed for North America.

Mission: Yozakura Family Gets Hulu English Dub Release Date: All You Need to Know - Main Image

After premiering in April, the Mission: Yozakura Family anime’s English dub release date has been confirmed. As with the original Japanese language version, the English dub will also be released on Hulu in the US.

Hulu confirmed the English dub’s premiere earlier today in a report by Anime News Network. From the looks of it, a bigger reveal will be made closer to or during its launch.

For now, fans will need to wait for more details, but at least the wait for the dub isn’t going to be long.

Aniplex of America and Crunchyroll have now confirmed the release date for the upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc, revealing that Season 4 will stream as a simulcast starting Sunday, May 12, 2024.

Toriyama, who revolutionized the world of shonen anime with his iconic Dragon Ball franchise, died on March 1 after suffering an acute subdural hematoma. His death has deeply affected creators all over the world, but especially within the manga industry.
