Nothing good about this movie

Most unwanted movie of the year. Story, acting, graphics, screenplay everything was ruined perfectly in this movie. Makers don't know why they made this movie, and I don't know why I watched it. This could be a classic example of how not to make a movie and torture people. Though I watched it on OTT, I felt very bad for my wasted 2 hours.

If anyone is planning to watch this, please avoid it. I'm not sure if the actress were underplayed or somehow blackmailed/forced to work in this epic failure their performance was so awful. They could avoid releasing this movie after premier shows.

The movie was far away from the horror genre and very close to a nightmare for the audience. As soon as 20 min of the movie started, I was wishing it to be ending soon.

Pathetic worse horror.

What a waste of time and money. Where is the magic of bhatt brothers? More than 90% movie shoot through vfx. Very poor VFX each and every scene feels duplicate. Director try to save money and want to make horror. I really miss 1920' s horror in this movie. Scary jump not impressive. Story is good. But still Bhatt camp loose control on horror movies. Hope they can find good script like previous movies like Raaz and 1920 franchisee. Avika and vardhan done a good job. But still not impressive. Good decision taken by makers to release on ott and save some money. Final verdict: better to watch 1920 again but not this one.

Bloody Irritating

Bloody Ishq comes close to a raaz reboot with pathetically irritating VFX that hurts the eyes, and a torturous storyline... (and that too, not in a good way)

Neha wakes up in the hospital, losing her memory, and is with her "apparent" husband. Romesh returning to their old house, which is being renovated into a hotel, to save the last straws of his finances.

Steps in AIsha, her "so-called" best friend, warns her that her house is haunted and that her husband is not to be trusted. Amidst this, Neha experiences the worst CGI-enabled hauntings that are too flimsy to debate.

The ongoing movie, with the house corridors and surrounding forests, hills, lake, bay area, etc are all so badly created with visual effects that can blind you.

With numerous loopholes in the plot and an irritating "Balika Badhu" stereotypical actress, this Bloody Film is to be avoided if you want to save your brain cells from exploding.

Cringe Ultra Pro Max

Such a waste of 2hrs better had slept(which i actually did watching this). Whats with the green screen? Cant afford filming in Scotland? Then why set in Scotland? Cant find a castle like building in India or anywhere else? Story ? Iam even tired to write this review....!!!! What else what else? The background music oh my i think even tv serials wont use this much background music which eventually feels like background noise...!!! Maybe its time for Vikram bhatt to stop directing (if he cant bring something new ) and of course mahesh bhatt to stop writing. A free advice dont watch this even if you have disney plus subscription not worth anyones time . Good Night.

When will Vikram Bhatt Learn?

Bloody ishq is the same typical vikram bhatt film he's making since first Raaz except its bad. His Last Good Movie was haunted 3d after that all the movies were very bad including this movie. All his movies has same kind of characters and jump scares. He needs to change his direction and mindset for horror movies or just quit direction.

The special effects and set designs are neither particularly convincing nor inventive, resulting in scenes that are more laughable than chilling. The overuse of clichés and predictable scares only add to the film's overall disappointment.

For those familiar with Vikram Bhatt's filmography, this movie will feel like more of the same, and for new viewers, it might be a cautionary tale about the pitfalls of genre redundancy.

Don't waste two and a half hours of your life.

One of the worst movies one can find anywhere, no story, all movie seems to made up of the worst graphics like that of a cheap videogame, no storyline , and the worst acting on any cinema. The lead actress doesn't know how to act, the lead actor is the same and the rest was ruined by direction. I wasted 2.5 hours on this whatever you'd call it ,I wouldn't call it a movie and this is the first time I took the effort in my life to post a review, it took me that much effort to tell you guys this was a time waste and insult to Indian cinema, rest it's your discretion to watch such a thing , I wish I could ask for my money back but how does one ask that of an OTT membership 😂😂

Horrible Horror

Avika Gaur, for god sake stop acting for mahesh bhatt's movies. The little bit of acting talent you have, he will finish that also. Can't tolerate your overacting and expressionless face. And about movie, don't waste your precious time watching it. Pathetic story writing, pathetic execution, pathetic vfx, pathetic acting. Same bungalow story for every bollywood horror movie. It's a nightmare for lovers of horror movies. I am giving this review after watching this movie just for 30 minutes, after that i didn't even dare myself to watch it and torture myself. Avika gaur either learn acting or leave it.

Bloody Headache!

What nonsense, even cartoon movies are far better than this. It was like watching a horror gameplay.

After watching this movie my BP shooted to 200 and I almost had lost my memory. Bloody Ishq is a bloody mess, and bloody headache.

I was wondering why Sir Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt, are making these kind of movies. If they don't have enough budget to make the movie, then better postpone it. The whole movie was a pathetic horror gameplay, with worst visual effects and graphics.

The 2nd worst movie I ever watched after Janni Dushman. Please don't watch this movie, you will definitely bang your head on the wall.

Captivating Movie throughout

I usually don't enjoy horror movies, but this one was a thrilling ride full of jump scares. The first 20 minutes were a bit slow, but once the pace picks up, you're glued to the screen till the end. The movie has a great plot with unexpected twists and turns that keep you guessing. While some VFX shots felt a bit out of place, they're easily overlooked once you're immersed in the story. Definitely recommended! It's best watched at night for the full experience, as it adds to the eerie atmosphere - I mean obviously. A must-watch for thriller fans! Perfect for a chilling movie night with friends.

FLOP.. Cartoon is way better

"Bloody Ishq" (2024) falls flat on nearly every level, presenting a jumbled mess of incoherent plotlines and uninspired performances. Despite its ambitious attempt to blend romance and thriller genres, the film ends up as a tedious and confusing experience.

The plot, which attempts to weave a tale of love and vengeance, is plagued by inconsistencies and glaring plot holes. The screenplay is riddled with clichéd dialogue and predictable twists that do little to engage the audience. The story's pacing is uneven, with long, drawn-out scenes that contribute nothing to character development or plot advancement.

The performances are underwhelming, with actors delivering lines with little emotion or depth. The lack of chemistry between the leads undermines the film's attempt at creating a compelling romantic angle. Supporting characters are cardboard cutouts, contributing nothing to the overall narrative.

Visually, the film lacks coherence in its aesthetic choices. The direction feels disjointed, failing to capture any sense of atmosphere or tension. The soundtrack, while competent, does little to enhance the overall experience and often feels out of place.

Overall, "Bloody Ishq" is a disappointing effort that fails to deliver on its intriguing premise. It's a missed opportunity that could have benefited from a more cohesive script, better performances, and a clearer vision.

Bhatt Camp needs to stop making movies

Vikram Bhatt strikes again-save yourself if you can. I voluntarily walked into the trap, so I have no complaints on that front.

This movie is a reboot of a reboot of a reboot of the popular yesteryear Indian horror movie, Raaz. It's not claimed by the maker, but watching it, you can tell. The plot follows a girl who loses her memory in an accident and finds sinister activity once she returns home. Who is trying to harm her and why? The answer lies in the Raaz movie.

Avika Gor is a decent actress, and she does fine here, but what can she do with a sunken ship? Vardhan Puri tries his best but needs to improve his acting skills.

The story is outdated and makes no sense at multiple points. You can guess the twists from a mile away. The entire-yes, the entire-movie is made with CGI. Can you believe that? Not even one location is real, and it's evident, making you feel like you're watching a cartoon series. I hope they paid the artists who spent hours putting this movie together.

The music was one of the USPs of Bhatt movies, but it fails in this one, like all of their recent ventures. The jump scares are funny, and the makeup or CGI work for the ghost is just caricaturish.

Yes, there is one good thing about this movie: what Avika does at the end, which is quite progressive. If you want a laugh or want to see an example of a bad movie, this one is streaming on Hotstar.

Filmmaker's Vision

Bloody Ishq is a film made by visionary director Vikram Bhatt. While watching the movie you can see that it is not a directors film but rather a filmmakers film. Every aspect, cinematic device was utilised by the director. You can see his fingerprints on the music, writing, cinematography but especially the editing. The story is intriguing and builds mystery, the songs are nice and the twists and turns keeps you thinking. The VFX was shabby at times but the movie gets away with it after you get into the zone. More about the editing-

Nolan once made a film called Memento where he puts us in the head of a man with memory loss by playing out the scenes in reverse. What Bloody Ishq does is it lets a scene play out 85% then cuts to the next scene where the character, Neha, is processing the information (mainly a discovery about the events that actually transpired)- then cuts back after a few moments to finish the 15% left. This puts us in her shoes and makes us feel how Neha, a woman lost and trying to find her way thinks and processes all the lies around her. It is also engaging and gives justice to the character's POV. This was the best part of the film in my opinion, and it will be a really underrated aspect.

The background score is beautiful, some of the tracks have a lot of emotional depth to it. I am surprised that this movie is getting negative reviews...

Intriguing Thrilled

I saw some bts of this film on Mr. Bhatts instagram account, it was entirely shot in green. Before anything everyone should acknowledge this as a milestone and achievement in Indian filmmaking. Shooting the Cameron way!

The writing is plot driven and engaging at times, the film picks up after the first act- what really grabs you is the mystery. Nowadays when people think the only way to create mystery is a non linear timeline, Bloody Ishq does it the old school way. The combination of supernatural horror and the thriller genre was new and I enjoyed it. Want to see more films like this.

In conclusion this is better than the other subpar films bollywood is making nowadays.

-Not much of a bollywood film watcher but was recommended since it was a Vikram Bhatt comeback.

Good Supernatural Thriller

Bloody Ishq directed by Vikram Bhatt, written by Mahesh Bhatt and Suhrita Das is a well crafted movie that banks on its twists and turns. It is a mature take on Supernatural Thrillers since the unreliable narrator Romesh keeps you guessing if he's positive or negative. The lighting is good and the music is superb. Especially Jaane De.

The scene where Neha plays the piano to remember her past is beautiful- great scene very well directed and perfectly placed. The movie keeps you guessing and has you on the edge of your seat. It has a few jump scares which work effectively. Lastly, the character of Kimaya is really something... the car chase works so well in establishing her psychology. It's a fun movie and engaging.

Good movie..Suspense and Thriller ..Must watch.

First of all , I was surprised with the other comments and rating 2.9/10.. I watched it..It was nice and very interesting.

Cinematography was excellent..Acting good although newcomers.

Direction was good..perhaps missing a captivating songs and music ..trademark of Bhatt movies.

Suspense and horror elements are present and you are interested to know what happen next.

Vikram Bhatt has always dared to make different types of movies and it resulted in mixed reactions from public and box office.

I will rate the movie excellent and watchable.

Don't get distracted by other reviews which are out of my understanding..but appreciate a movie by yourself.

Enjoy ..

Great Layered Performances

Bloody Ishq starring Avika Gor, Vardhan Puri, Jeniffer Piccinato and Rahul Dev is a 2h 20m movie that delivers in what it promises. Aside from the cringe VFX at times, the performances were really good especially from it's main cast. The performance of Neha was great, she handles the scenes well and has range. Vardhan's performance was layered, you could see behind his eyes that he really was a liar and a cheat. He is likeable, innocent but has a dark side - great cast. But Jennifer was particularly a standout performance, she portrayed a psychotic lustful woman perfectly, from the little laughs to smirks, Jennifer was the best out of everyone. She truly deserved more screen time.

Overall, the direction is something that shouldn't go unnoticed either. The staging and camera angles work perfectly for this blend of Horror-Thriller. The movie is most of the time ahead of the audience and meets the expectation.
