Production of this movie dates back to the 1980s when executive producer/Full Moon Features CEO Charles Band was going to produce the movie for Empire Pictures, Band's previous company. It later resurfaced in the mid-90s when Band announced that it was going to be produced for a 1995 release from Full Moon Entertainment.
Linda Hassani was originally slated to direct, when Charles Band announced it for a 1995 release.
