This show has the very interesting backdrop of Las Vegas with all of the unexpected that can be expected. Dirk is a great tattoo artist and his sidekick, Ruckus, make the show fun to watch. I like the extra personal touch they throw in when they aren't doing the tattoo search and cover. The goofy dog is a nice addition to the show. I also like the fact that these two guys also play in a band. This makes for a multifaceted couple of dudes. I hope the show keys in on more of the personal side of the main characters and the Las Vegas scene. There are so many angles that can be taken in this setting that I expect this show will last for a few seasons. These guys give the whole tattoo experience a new look and add a fun side to bad decisions.
A lot of reviewers lambast this show. Maybe I like it because of the hosts and I like cheesy (the other description I've seen here).
Honestly, there are so dang many tat shows now that it's gotten a bit ridiculous in general. At least this show keeps it fun and light.
Are they the best artists *ever*? No, but they aren't bad and they improve the bad tats they find.
This show is a good time killer if you want silliness and like tats.
Is it formulaic? Yes, but so is every other tat show.
At least it's not yet another "competition" show, which is something I'm truly sick of at this point.

So the other night I was flipping through the channels and happened to see a show on A&E called Bad Ink.
The premise of the show is two total tools walk around Vegas and try to check out bad tattoos. Then they talk the person into getting a cover-up on the supposed bad tattoo while laughing at the outrageous story behind the bad tattoo. The catch is the original bad tattoo is fake and obviously drawn on with a sharpie, and the cover-up is in my opinion terrible.
One girl supposedly had a lopsided tramp stamp so they covered it up by just making it a bigger lopsided tramp stamp.

This show is freaking awesome! Fully entertaining and personally, It is one of the very few reality shows worth watching. These guys are hilarious and to say the show is fake and no talent is SO far from the truth! I personally have met a ton of people in my chair (hairstylist) that swear by Pussycat tattoos. Do your research before posting speculations! Dirk and Ruckus rock! Dirk can make an embarrassing tattoo look like a TOTAL work of art! The fact that his family makes little cameos just adds to the show. I love variety and a non scripted show. They not only work on hotties, but on completely average folks as well. I hope this show is around a heck of a lot longer than the brainless real housewives of who the hell cares and hillbilly trash shows little honey friggin boo boo! Keep up the great work guys!!
I just watched the show where the "Nina, will you merry me" heart was covered up. I thought it looked like Sharpie because the ink appeared to be on top of the skin rather than IN the skin, and it was awfully shiny... and the ME was smeared with the smeared ink clearly visible on his skin!! Then when they did the 'coverup' there was no part of the bright red heart visible AT ALL... and on the final product, the pale greenish blue was pale greenish blue... which it couldn't have been if it was actually covering up a bright red heart.
Why does this show feel the need to fake stuff?? This is terrible, even by reality TV standards...
