I STILL Don't Believe Yolanda...

2 stars because they spelled everyone's name right

That's it really... they got the spelling right for everybody's name. Not sure why they made an entire documentary just to give Yolanda a chance to lie some more and show some crocodile tears. She murdered Selena, there aren't any doubts about that. I'm not sure why we need a whole documentary trying to empathize with a murderer and a narcissist.

What's the point of including her nieces and nephews? They don't know anything more about the trial or circumstances than anybody else. I guess that's the only potentially sympathetic people they could find? And that's the narrative they are trying to push for some reason. All in all, it's an unnecessary film that feels like a whole bunch of wasted time that I'll never get back.

Here's the deal

Yolanda Saldivar killed Selena. That point is not disputed. This documentary wastes hours trying to humanize and essentially vindicate Selena's murderer. Yolanda Saldivar's prison interviews in this documentary are the crazed rantings of a woman who is physically incapable of admitting any fault or wrongdoing on any level. Her run-on narrative is shamelessly self-serving and begs us to pin the blame for her crime on anyone other than her. A jury convicted this woman based on facts and evidence. Viewers should ask themselves: "Does it matter if there were secrets shared between Selena and Yolanda?" This woman MURDERED another human being. Period. This documentary seemingly wants a new jury of TV watchers to reexamine her conviction. It will be a travesty of justice if this woman is paroled, ever. She deserves to die in prison, regardless of what irrelevant "secrets" were shared with Selena.

This Documentary Is hard to watch

This documentary is hard to watch because this documentary is full of lies. Her own "truth" conflicts with what she has said in the past. Yolanda and her family's side of the story are simply trying to victimize her and ignore the fact that she is a cold-blooded lying murderer. She constantly says she didn't get to tell her side of the story as if she was silenced, but in reality told straight up lies even back then and made no sense for anyone to even care about what she had to say. This documentary was made to try to gain sympathy for a conniving murderer. The lies make this documentary hard to watch. You can see for yourself. Selena was murdered by a monster end of story.

Yolanda the Narcissist

This documentary was just a crazy narcissist ranting on about absolutely nothing. The family members just wanting to prove to everyone that Selena died by the hands of their AUNT and that they are the victims.

How were you showing your friend you were suicidal, she tells you to stop, she turns her back and the gun happened to go off??

If she's trying to stop you from killing yourself, she'd be shot in the front, if the gun went off by itself. Yolanda bought the gun and even practiced at the range. Here she lied AGAIN and said she didn't know how to handle the weapon. DO NOT GIVE HER PAROLE!!

Just trash

I can't believe someone really produce this crazy mess. This lady is lying and trying to tarnish Selena name to gain sympathy because she is going up for parol next year . She got the gun and shot Selena in cold blood . Her family is also disgusting . Just a bunch of liars . That lil note that the niece was trying to pass as a love letter is what really made me convinced they all lying . Even if she was cheating or whatever secrets she had how did that give u the right to kill her l. Then trying to blame the dad is just sick . If anything this documentary is doing it's making Yolanda and her family look like a bunch of whack jobs.

Totally Useless Information

Regardless of all this 'new' information, the truth is this - Yolanda Saldivar pointed her gun and pulled the trigger that killed Selena. Plus she admitted it, it doesn't matter if she didn't mean do it, or if it was an accident or whatever. There's absolutely no use in trying to victimize Yolanda, she's a killer end of story. Dont try to change the narrative and start blaming Abraham, he might be the way he is but he can't force anybody to point guns and pull triggers. This is all on Yolanda and nobody else. She knows her parole is approaching so she's trying to change her image before that. What she should have done was keep her image quiet and try to parole and go live somewhere in solitude.

I wanted to give it a shot.

This documentary is too little too late. It's a desperate woman's pathetic attempt at a pity party. I don't speak on behalf of everyone, but I was under the assumption that everyone agreed that Yolanda didn't intentionally kill her, but regardless, she did though. All this sad documentary is going to accomplish is hurt Chris Perez and tarnish the name that millions have come to love and adore. I genuinely do not believe this story needed to he told. I thought it was gonna touch more on what was going through her mind or what her intentions were when she did what she did. Again, nothing but a drowning woman's attempt to drag someone else down, and they're not here to defend themselves.

Give it a chance and judge for yourself...

People can say what they want, but a lot of things in this doc raise a lot of questions and paint a bigger picture than what the world was told. Evidence shows that not everything was what it appeared to be. Look at the evidence being shown and judge yourself. Also, evidence shows us that Yolanda wasn't a fanatic that just killed Selena, there is more to the story. The doctor lying about Yolanda saying she was crazy, just to say in 2012 that Yolanda was telling the truth is ridiculous.

I believe Yolanda and there is truth in what she says. Clearly look at everything being said. Yolanda has been saying the same thing for 25 years. That what the media put out was not true and I think she was right. A lot of things don't add up. Also, Selena's Father scared many people. Keep that in mind....

A pity party

The documentary tries to justify a killers actions. It tries to muddy the waters by showing the relationship between Selena and her killer but fails to acknowledge the she is in prison for murder not for a failed friendship.

This documentary was not necessary and I wish I could get the time I wasted on it back. The majority of it was spent by Yolanda's family members creating a biased storyline to portray her in a better light.

Nothing that is shown helps clear up her actions that day and it feels like a sad attempt by a desperate woman to try and get some freedom since her probation is coming up soon.

Waste of time; borderline offensive

This " documentary " brings no new meaningful information. Yolanda is a garbage person who is up for parole and thinks she's trying to better her image. I'm sure her family who is on this just wants their family member back but so do Selena's family and friends and that can't happen. Yolanda's family is spouting all kinds of nonsense trying to get her out of jail.

The family is disparaging minor things about Selena which I found gross. I came into this not knowing much to the case. Yolanda and her family are grasping for straws.

This is a waste of time and a cash grab for the producers/Peacock.

I hope her parole is denied.

Disgusting

The fact that this even exists disgusts me you literally let a murderer talk badly about her victim. Guess what we can't hear Selena's side of the story, because Yolanda killed her the fact that this was made a year before she's released is so strange. I can't imagine anyone being able to sit in a chair and talk bad about their victim and about how everything was wrong for them Yolanda killed her and then went on to be chased by police for hours if she had anything to say to defend herself she should've said it back then. This entire thing disgust me people today still miss Selena not just for her music but for who she was as a person.

She still shot her

While I have to admit the documentary had some interesting theories about the controlling nature of Abraham her father and why people initially thought and believed she was embezzling. It still ends the same Yolanda shot her and she has to live with that. This is definitely a good lesson for people. If you're going to buy a gun and you shoot someone that is your responsibility. Yes there might be a lot of dark secret about the family that we did not know about and maybe there is a grain of truth but like the person said in the documentary. Yolanda still shot her and Selena died. This why I don't like it when anyone can have access to guns. Yes I get that maybe Yolanda was fearful for her life and personally I don't think she was thinking rationally at the time she was at the hotel with Selena. But regardless she purchased the gun and shot someone. Whether intentional or by accident she did it and that is something she has to live with.
