An Eye Opener

After watching this film I went speechless. There were many sleepless nights for me when I use to think about the incidents shown in the film.

The film features how some people from a certain community are using a low against powerless people and capturing their ancestral properties.

Salute to the film makers for highlighting such a sensitive issue...which many of us are not aware of.

Full marks to the team for selection of subject.

Perfect use of the media to underline the topic.

An Eye Opener...to an every honest Indian.

Great Effort...Keep it up guys.

May God give you a strength to make such movies.

Hat's off to the real risk-takers!

Whenever we talk about communal things we see it as something that can do harm to our national integration, but when suddenly something like this comes to us, as through this movie, we definitely feel that some hidden conspiracy, some egenda to simply change the religious demography and to further empower a particular sect, is played under the knowledge of government of that time. History clearly reveals it that this not new that under beautiful disguise of brotherhood, main natives of our country are misguided, divided, cheated, overpowered and then compelled. To take such a courageous decision of making an eye-opener movie on this subject, I seriously salute the might of the producers, writer and director. It's such an irony the in our own country we feel insecure to talk about subjects like this as the so called minority commonly comprise of highly intolerant and voilent beasts. I highly recommend this movie to everyone.

Misrepresentation

Dehra Dunities never had have any differences among any religion. Despicable,Vicious,Demonic script which accelerate the differences within the country. I never heard or seen anything like this pathetic story in Dehradun. This story has no any match with Dehradun where mostly people have Army background. People here is full of different ethnicity with full of generous and loving nature. Here everyone live with their dignity and pride of being Indian without any discrimination of any caste, language or any religion. What a shameful movie! Day by day integrity between Indians is getting Fragile. Shame on us!

Good information and best film

When I watched this film I realized what is happening in the country? And why is it happening? This film is a big mirror for the society? And for the future to come. This film tells how? Some people Under the guise of religion, they are doing something which will create an ummah within the country, but I want that such a thing should not happen. Such films should be made. I congratulate the director, producer, actor and the entire team of this film for making such a film.

Now I want that Bollywood film makers should learn something from this and make such films in which the message of goodwill is sent to the society and they also keep the matter of exposing some such things hidden in the society. He should also make such a film. The film is very good. The acting is also very good.

Disappointing and Misguided , A torturous experience,

"Aakhir Palyaan Kab Tak..." had the potential to address societal issues with nuance and depth, but sadly, it falls short of expectations. Instead of offering a balanced narrative, the film feels heavily one-sided and lacks the subtlety required to tackle sensitive topics.

The characters are overly stereotypical, which makes it hard to connect with them on a human level. The story, rather than fostering dialogue or understanding, seems to promote a narrow perspective that might alienate a section of the audience. While creative freedom allows filmmakers to express their vision, it's disappointing when this freedom is used in a way that feels divisive or biased.

Technically, the movie has its moments-decent cinematography and a competent cast. However, these aspects cannot compensate for the heavy-handed messaging and lack of inclusivity in its approach. It's unfortunate that an opportunity to present a meaningful story was missed here.

Overall, "Aakhir Palyaan Kab Tak..." feels more like an agenda-driven narrative than an honest exploration of complex social issues.

Directed and written by Mukul Vikram, with production led by Sohani Kumari and Alka Choudhary, the film explores the complex issue of land disputes, specifically highlighting tensions between Hindus and Muslims.

Best acting, story & direction

This film breaks the laws and systems that create rift in the society and such films should be made which bring out the hidden system in the society. Everyone has acted very well in the film and Bhushan Patiyal debut is commendable and all the senior actors who have acted with him have done a great job and the producer has also acted very well in this film. The film puts its point in front of everyone with a strong message.

Such films should be made which reduce the feelings of hatred in the society and awaken people and I thank the director, producer and the entire team of this awareness-raising film from the bottom of my heart for having the courage to make such a film and making a praiseworthy film.

Subtle & Real acting

Being a Writer & Director, I would like to talk about the actor of this film Bhushan Patiyal, as I have read that this is his debut film. So in his debut film, he has done such subtle acting and has played his character with so much reality in a way that it looks very genuine and real. This is a matter of great praise. He said that his background is from the theater industry and he follows method acting, which can also be seen in this film. He has performed his acting very well, I hope people will like his acting as I have liked it and I have also read many comments and I have also read news reviews, everywhere his acting has been praised. This is commendable. My best wishes are always with Patiyal that he makes a good future for himself in the acting world, hope we work together soon and apart from this, Rajesh Sharma, Chitranjan Giri, Dhirendra Dwivedi, Saurabh Agnihotri, Brijesh Karanwal, Suhani Kumari and Avinash Kumar have also done a very commendable job and have spread the magic of their acting. This film is on a social issue and it is very important that people know about this act and understand its misuse.

Best Message with best Story, direction & Acting

First of all, if I talk about the message of this film, it is commendable. A very good message has been delivered. Its story is very good with very good dialogues and a very good screenplay, which makes it completely clear what the film wants to say. Now, if I talk about its direction, the director has taken a very good attempt.

The director has done a very good direction with his wisdom and has taken care of the colors. The costumes have been taken care of and the director has said his part keeping in mind the emotions of the film. If I talk about acting, Rajesh Sharma has done a very good job. This is a very good debut of Bhushan Patiyal. Gaurav Sharma has done a very good job. Suhani Kumari, who is herself a producer, has done a very good job and Dhirendra Dwivedi has also done a very good job. Sourav Agnihotri, Brijesh Karanwal, Avinash Kumar and Janvi Vyas, all such actors have played very good roles. Such subjects should come. Such subjects are a mirror for the society.

Cinema is the mirror of Society, unfortunately this is happening in our society

I am thankful to makers of this movie as it's revealing a hard fact, common people of India is not aware. And movie is enough to spread awareness among people in real sense.

Brilliant as well as decent presence on screen by talented cast, best cinematography, fantastic direction. Wishing that one should be aware with these realities at present we are facing in India before the time. Without any controversy, movie is focused on reality based incident happened in Uttrakhand, which a threat for humanity in near future if it will not be stopped by govt.of India. Need to frame strong law against this.

Masterpiece film

This is one of the best and message giving films of 2024! This film brings out the hidden laws in the society. This film talks about the work board and the law made by the old government which creates depravity in the society, this film has a very good story by trying to bring it in front of everyone. The direction of this film is very good. All the actors in this film have done a very good job and the producer of this film has taken a very good initiative and I want him to do the same for the society.

Waiting in OTT, must watch this wanderful film for not for entertainment only it's give you lots of knowledge.

Great

Indeed ! It is a big irony that we are not able to understand whether to clean the face, mirror or eyes. And now blurring has become our habit. People will talk about how the film is but yes, raising this issue is a big thing in itself.

These are some of the stains on our democracy and brotherhood which have been stuck in our minds for centuries to be washed off.

In this way, someone will even claim the Parliament House. Why these holes in the blanket of democracy? Thanks to your entire team for choosing and creating this theme. Watching this film it felt as if nothing is safe here.

SAADHO RE YE MURDO KA GAANW.

Great going Patiyal Shahb

I know Bhushan Patiyal since 2006 and when we used to do theatre together in 2006 in Delhi, I felt that he will do something good in acting in future and that is what happened. Bhushan Patiyal's debut in this film is very brilliant and praiseworthy. He is a method actor and he has proved this and he is going to make a very big name on the strength of his acting and my best wishes are with him and I think he must have worked very hard for this character because I feel that he has also lost some weight.

He was hardworking because we did many plays together and as he had experience of acting and we have been taught by many teachers of National School of Drama and we have also studied acting for a long time, when I saw this film in the theatre on 16 February, then I felt that he has done a good job.

I liked his character very much, he has played it very well. I hope people will like it very much and I hope he makes a good name for himself in Bollywood and I wish him all the best.

An eye opener

The movie Aakhir payalat kab tak tackles the sensitive issue of religious violence, centered around the murder of a Hindu boy and the subsequent investigation led by a determined police officer. Amidst the complex themes of religious tension and community divide, the standout performance comes from *Bhushan Patiyal*, who plays the pivotal role of the police officer tasked with solving the case.

Patiyal's portrayal of the officer is nothing short of exceptional. From the very first scene, he brings a raw intensity to the character, infusing him with a mixture of grit, vulnerability, and moral complexity. The character of the officer is not simply a typical law enforcer; he is a man struggling with the weight of his responsibilities in a politically charged and divided society. Patiyal does an extraordinary job of balancing the officer's commitment to justice with his internal conflict as he navigates the complex web of communal tensions.

What makes Patiyal's performance particularly compelling is his ability to convey the nuances of the character without resorting to exaggerated emotion or melodrama. Every subtle change in his expressions reflects the mounting pressure of the investigation, and his silent struggles are just as powerful as his more intense moments. His portrayal shows a man who is deeply empathetic yet, at times, disillusioned by the corruption and violence around him. The film's emotional core rests on Patiyal's performance, which provides the audience with a relatable figure caught between his duty and the harsh realities of the world he is trying to protect.

In the scenes that require physicality, Patiyal commands the screen with his understated yet confident presence, embodying the officer's authority. Yet, it is his quieter moments - those of reflection or moral dilemma - that truly showcase his range as an actor. Patiyal's eyes speak volumes, often conveying the sorrow and frustration of a man who sees the futility of continued violence but feels helpless to stop it.

Throughout the film, his performance is anchored in a quiet strength. He carries the emotional burden of the narrative, offering the audience a deeply human perspective on the violence and divisiveness that drive the story forward. Patiyal is particularly impressive in the moments where his character is faced with difficult decisions, showing a man torn between doing what's right and protecting his career or family from the repercussions of his actions.

The actor's ability to make the officer both relatable and heroic in the face of overwhelming odds is what elevates the film. His subtlety, combined with his powerful screen presence, makes his performance a standout. In a story that explores the complexities of religion, power, and violence, it is Bhushan Patiyal's nuanced portrayal of the police officer that anchors the film and provides its moral compass. His work here is a testament to his skill as an actor and his understanding of the importance of this story. It's a performance that not only captivates but resonates long after the credits roll.

Best acting

Shattered Roots is a gripping socio-political drama that unflinchingly portrays the forced migration of a Hindu community due to rising hostility from the dominant Muslim population, leading to communal unrest and systemic injustice. The narrative centers around the brutal murder of a young Hindu boy, which sparks riots and political maneuvering to suppress the case in the name of maintaining "peace." Amidst this turmoil, Inspector Arvind Sharma, played with remarkable intensity by Bhushan Patiyal, emerges as a beacon of justice. His character, deeply principled yet emotionally burdened, refuses to succumb to bureaucratic pressure and embarks on a relentless investigation that exposes layers of corruption, media bias, and political appeasement. Patiyal's portrayal is a masterclass in acting-his raw expressions, controlled aggression, and emotional vulnerability make his character incredibly compelling. His confrontations with those in power, his heartfelt moments with the victim's family, and his unwavering pursuit of truth make him the moral backbone of the film. The film does not merely narrate a story; it reflects harsh realities, shedding light on the plight of displaced families, the manipulation of law enforcement, and the consequences of communal hatred. The director masterfully builds tension through stark cinematography, depicting the town's tragic transformation from harmony to chaos, while the haunting background score amplifies the film's emotional weight. Riot sequences are disturbingly realistic, and the courtroom drama that unfolds in the latter half of the film adds another layer of depth, illustrating how justice is often a privilege rather than a right. Beyond its intense political commentary, Shattered Roots is a deeply human story, exploring themes of loss, resilience, and the price of integrity in a society where truth is often silenced. While some may find its portrayal of events unsettling, the film's strength lies in its unapologetic storytelling and refusal to sugarcoat reality. Bhushan Patiyal delivers a career-defining performance, effortlessly capturing the nuances of a man torn between duty and the harsh realities of power . The screenplay strikes a fine balance between investigative thriller elements and emotional depth, ensuring that the audience remains engaged from start to finish. By the climax, the film leaves a lasting impact, forcing viewers to introspect on the fragile nature of communal harmony and the lengths to which some must go to uphold justice. Shattered Roots is not just a film-it's a statement, a mirror to society, and a cinematic triumph that lingers in the mind long after the credits roll.

Best acting

Set in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, the film is the story of a family that is forced to flee their home due to communal politics and manipulation.

Akhir Palanjan Kab Tak? Review: What does it mean for a minority community to live in peace amidst a hostile majority? Writer-director Mukul Vikram's offering explores this and also blames greed and communal politics for the lack of harmony. The film opens in Dehradun, with the narrator saying that coexistence between warring communities is impossible and politics takes advantage of this. The narrative intermittently conveys this message, while also asking how long will the minorities have to run away (palanjan in Hindi means migration). The story hinges on a murder mystery to raise this question. Local MLC Badruddin (Dhirendra Dwivedi) uses power politics to force Sunil and a few other families to sell their homes and businesses at cheap prices. For this, he pits the rival community against them. The mysterious murder and disappearance of the family intertwined with the ulterior motives of the politician forms the rest of the story. The film starts off as a serious murder mystery, depicting Sooraj's personal demons and whether solving the case will bring him salvation. However, the focus on communalism dilutes the seriousness of the story, as the story oscillates between the two themes. The film also touches upon relevant trends such as social media journalism sensationalising stories and taking away from credible reporting, deep fake videos, etc. In some instances, these elements seem forcefully fitted in without enhancing the overall narrative. M Ravichandran Thevar's cinematography is a strong point, especially the way he captures light to enhance the drama. JD Singh's music and background score effectively add to the dramatic effect. Rajesh Sharma as the honest, humble and optimistic Sunil has given a strong performance. Gaurav Sharma as his angry son Rohit has nailed the nuances of a frustrated young man. Bhushan Patial as the police officer and Sohini Kumari as the daughter Tanya have done a decent job. Both their performances often seem overdone and dramatic.

The film's main message of coexistence is conveyed through dialogues that often over-explain things. 'Aakhir Palan Kab Tak?' could have benefited from a better screenplay, with the main focus on one theme.

Best Debut Bhushan Patiyal

Do watch this film once if you take out some time.

My friend Sohani , who is the producer of the film, she has worked on the subject very well. How a community oppressed the Hindus in Uttarakhand and forced them to migrate. You have put it into the characters brother. All these are the same people who are either migrants or have converted. And the biggest threat is from these converted Muslims and Christians. Not from real Muslims and Christians. First of all, many congratulations to you and the entire team for the excellent acting of the lead actor Bhushan Patiyal and for the debut film being released by Zee Music Company after the cinemas.

What a joke of a movie

I would like to start my review by stating that I'm a proud hindu of highest and purest caste. I'm also a movie connoisseur with 4000 movies under my belt. So trust me i know whats going on. The movie desperately panders to us hindus in hopes that we get emotional and spend money and that money will be sent to Mexico as the production company Cinepolis is based in Mexico.

This movie is mostly bad screenplay wise. The acting is poor except from Rajesh ji who carried this movie on his back. I believe in telling the truth like shri Ram has asked all his followers to. To not form alliance because of politics but by respect. This movie lacks the respect part. Today we are in power so these foreign movie company pander to us. Tomorrow somebody else will be in power so they will pander to them. These companies will always earn money no matter what and they will show whatever fits the contemporary political climate.
