When I first heard the synopsis of this film I was immediately intrigued because it was a "single-shot musical". My first thought was, "How is this going to be accomplished?" So I went in for the technical aspect, but was more blown away by the heart and humor this film was able to pull off. Because it was a single shot there was quite a bit of planning involved, as well as improv, in order to pull it off. They used locals as extras and very clever sound mixing to enhance the musical aspects in many parts. This film is nothing short of a wonderful achievement that I cannot wait to watch again... assuming it gets picked up by a distributor. I'm crossing my fingers and toes because the world needs more films like this. The roar from the audience once it ended is all the evidence one would need to know this is a classic waiting to be discovered by the masses.
