Sam stands on stage as thousands of fans go wild. Smart, charismatic, handsome, he moves them with his message, and when he calls for donations to his charity, the money pours in.

Only thing is, Sam doesnÂ’t believe a word heÂ’s saying.

Just months earlier, Sam was a typical college senior focused on keg stands, hookups and graduation. But when a surprise tuition bill threatens his dream of law school and leaves him thousands of dollars in the hole, heÂ’s forced to think outside the box. He convinces his three roommates they can make a killing on the gullible church crowd and the guys start a sham charity, campaigning across the country, raising funds for a cause as fake as their message.

For Sam, embezzlement is easy compared to getting attention from the only person he cares about. When Callie, the tour manager and SamÂ’s love interest, finally discovers the guysÂ’ ruse, itÂ’s Sam's moment of truth.

On the final night of the tour, before a packed auditorium and alone in the spotlight, Sam must decide what he really believes.

believe me is fantastic

This movie was SO funny! I absolutely enjoyed watching it! I love the way it pokes fun at religion and makes you think about it. It was entertaining and thought provoking. For sure one of my new favorite movies. The cast is also incredible. Nick Offerman is one of my all time favorite actors and to see him in this made it that much better. And the fact that Alex Russell is in it doesn't hurt. He plays his character flawlessly and his looks aren't bad either. The cast, director and writers did a phenomenal job on this film. I highly recommend it to people of all walks of life. I don't know anyone who wouldn't find this move entertaining. GO SEE BELIEVE ME!

Nick Offerman spontaneously signed onto the film after the crew found out that he was in Dallas the same day that they were filming the "admissions counselor" scene. His scenes were filmed in a few hours and they parted ways after.
