• the subtle - gentle portrait of Shoah trauma traits;
• the manner of adaptation to a new social reality;
• the relation with past, covered in silence , this making a confession to the other in not different situation significant detail for structure of film;
• the way to be yourself , out of painful memories;
• the portrait of two marriages.

A great film for wise crafted story, for aadmirable performances. Not last, for the final message. Indeed, I saw it as man teaching high school students some things about Holocaust . So, profound subjectiv perception. But , no doubts, New Lives is a profound, for so many reasons, beautiful film.
