India’s Yash Raj Films is mounting an international re-release of Yash Chopra‘s “Veer Zaara” to mark the film’s 20th anniversary, with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer set to play on 600 screens worldwide starting Nov. 7.

The 2004 romance, which features Khan alongside Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji, will make its theatrical debut in Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar as part of a rollout spanning 19 territories including North America, Europe, Australia and South Africa.

It has been six months, and the Hindi box office 2024 has been on a roll with a cumulative 1000+ crore coming in the six months. Hindi films have brought together a total of approximately 1307 crore with a total of 29 releases, including 2 Hollywood flicks and 3 dubbed South Indian films.

In six months, Hindi films have earned 1307 crore. This, however, is much less than the cumulative box office collection of the first six months of the last year. In 2023, the first half collected 1846 crore at the box office, almost 42% higher than what the 29 films have earned this year.

Mumbai, Feb 26 (Ians) As ‘Article 370’ grossed Rs 34.71 crore in its opening weekend, more than any other film in recent weeks, Yami Gautam revealed that when the movie was being made, she was told it won’t work as “it’s too technical” and is loaded with “political jargon”.

Yami took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to thank the audience for proving those wrong who thought the film would not succeed in the box office.

She wrote: “When we were making ‘Article 370’, so many people told us that this film won’t work with the audience … . But we went ahead with our gut because we knew those naysayers were underestimating our audience.”
