Wasted

The two stars are only for the star casts. As for the film, it's one of the worst I've ever watched. The plot, characters and humors made me speechless. Especially Aaron Kwok's character, is he trying to imitate Freddie Mercury? I'm not sure but it's a failed character. The storyline lacks coherence, the characters lack "well created"depth , and the attempts at humor fall flat. It's not easy to mix different tones together, a bad example is this film, a good example would be Everything Everywhere. The pacing is uneven, making it difficult to stay invested in the narrative. Overall, "Rob and Roll" misses the mark as a compelling and enjoyable movie experience.

First of its kind in Hong Kong films

The film is good. The more I think about the film after leaving the theatre, the more I feel that it's really good and exceptional.

I didn't know what I watch and I didn't know why I laugh when I was watching it. However, the film is just entertaining, funny and meaningful.

The director Albert Mak and lead actor Aaron Kwok have shown us a new path - the storytelling style, the rhythm and the music are very different from most, if not all Hong Kong films, making it first of its kind. I guess that's why the film receives very extreme feedback from the audience. They either love it or hate it, and I'm one of those who love it.

Well, I can't say this creation is entirely new. I would place Rob N Roll in the same category with Snatch by Guy Ritche. However, they are not the same at all, except that they are both crime comedy. Rob N Roll is distinctly different in its storytelling, its kind of humour and its rhythm.

I'm glad that the team behind Rob N Roll have successfully trek a new path. I'm glad that I chose to watch this film among all during the Chinese New Year holiday.

Pity, a waste of good talents

Don't be fooled by the trailer; the funny moments we see in the trailer is the entirety of the movie. The story is halfway through, and the audience starts to get confused. How do these plot holes overlap? Even if we understand the plot, we can't comprehend the motivations of each character. As a result, the entire movie seems quite nonsensical. The beginning it tries to be funny, the middle part delves into detective logic, and suddenly, towards the end, it becomes so serious and sad. What are we watching? Was this film directed by three directors? It's such a pity, a bunch of A-class celebrities had to struggle in the worst movie plot, and there you go, a mediocre movie. Without these three male leads, this movie deserves 1-star out of 10.

One of the BEST Hong Kong movie ever

A fast-paced, entertaining story with the funniest characters and settings.

The actors are just flawless. It never fails to make us laugh when they are interacting with eachother with their down-to-earth looking, which is very refresh to see in the cinema. I especially love the way of how Aaron Kwok's character talks to the people. It's absolutely hilarious💗

I love everything about this movie; it brings back the old Hong Kong movie's humor and so well made. As comedic as it seems to be, it also shows the struggles of living, which makes the audience so relatable and emotional. It's an absolute masterpiece.✨👍🏻
