Eddie Murphy in Le Flic de Beverly Hills : Axel F. (2024)

Goofs

Le Flic de Beverly Hills : Axel F.

Edit

Continuity

When Axel tears a page from the organizer at Rosewood's office, he folds it and puts it in his back pocket. The next time he checks that page, it's clear that it has never been folded.
At the golf course when trying to swipe some car keys, the attendant asks Foley to show some ID; Foley then says he doesn't have any. However, about six minutes earlier, he had picked up his gun and badge while breaking out of the station.
When Axel shows the paper torn from Rosewood's organizer, it's clearly not the same one shown in previous shots. In the first shots, daily items are written with a marker pen. In the next shot, the items are in ball point pen, and it is not the same size paper.
It can can be seen that the key box is open and the car keys could be stolen. When the security guard leaves the key box, the key box is closed.
When Axel and Mike watch Junior from the stands, Junior is to the right of them, but when they come from the stands, they approach him from the left.

Factual errors

Axel claimed "I've been a cop for 30 years, but I've been black for a lot longer." This movie was released 40 years after the original, and although movies don't always occur in "real time", when Bobby is going through Axel's file he specifically mentions the events of the first film take place in 1984.
Later on when Axel is driving the truck from the port of Long Beach after rescuing Billy, he hits a car door off a CHP car then police cars start to chase him. The majority of the police vehicles are missing a solid red light as their emergency lights are on. Under the California Vehicle Code, all emergency vehicle and law enforcement vehicles are required to have at least one solid red when the emergency lights in the front of the vehicle are active.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Le Flic de Beverly Hills 3 (1994) is the first movie to show a romantic interest, and no child is ever mentioned in any of the previous films. That movie was 30 years prior (as confirmed when Bobby is going over Axel's file), but he says, very confidently, that his daughter is 32 years old. If her mother is Janice from Le Flic de Beverly Hills 3 (1994), she couldn't be more than 29 years old.

Axel obviously has a life outside of what is depicted in the films, he could have met Jane's mother, had a child with her, and ended their relationship at any time prior to the events of the third film.
Axel mentions Grant wears $2000 shoes. At some point later, he brings up the shoe value again, but they're only worth $1000.

Axel is not an expert on the value of shoes, he simply knows they are expensive and emphasizing that to make a point.
Jane wears a necklace with the letter 'M'. This doesn't match her first or last name.

However, it could match a close friend's name, a grandmother's name, the school she attended, or many other possibilities.

Revealing mistakes

After Axel drives his car past the man applying fake tan Axel drives his rental car around a corner at an impossible angle as a result of being on a trailer.
When Jane & Axel are driving down the street after being released from jail, Jane drives through a Red Light as well as the car behind them. Their traffic light then turns Green.

Miscellaneous

When Abbott first meets Axel in his office, the crime scene log has Taggart's name misspelled as "Taggert".

Anachronisms

Even though Foley is present for the action packed finale, for some reason he is told the fate of the main villain even though he's present for his Denise.
