4 years to late to make a third season after the second one, after many shows i barely remembers anything about this series, its just too late Japan
The new animation is an abomination and very still, the characters dont have substance, the whole ark is just about the annoying tsundere girl and she is annoying, don't understand why they rescue her to be completely honest, its just not neccesary, the brother is the best character but he is going to become a villain and that's sad tbh, he deserves to be the protagonist
This show has the worst protagonist i ever seen in a shonen, he is a very bland character, Asta is better than him.

The "Blue Exorcist: Illuminati Saga" delivers an exhilarating addition to the beloved series, blending intense action, deep character development, and a compelling storyline that captivates both long-time fans and newcomers alike.

The narrative arc involving the Illuminati introduces an intriguing and formidable new adversary that raises the stakes to unprecedented levels. This installment brilliantly expands the lore, exploring darker themes and more complex moral dilemmas that challenge our heroes in unexpected ways.
The animation quality is top-notch, with stunning visuals that bring the demonic battles and mystical elements to life. The fight scenes are particularly noteworthy, choreographed with a perfect blend of fluidity and impact that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. Additionally, the attention to detail in the backgrounds and character designs enhances the overall immersive experience.
Character development is a standout feature in this saga. Rin's growth as a protagonist is thoughtfully portrayed, balancing his internal struggles with his demonic heritage and his determination to protect those he loves. Rin faces and overcomes numerous obstacles, showcasing his resilience and unwavering spirit. Supporting characters, such as Yukio and Shiemi, also receive substantial development, allowing for deeper emotional connections and a richer narrative fabric. Blue Exorcist was definitely one of my fav anime's when I first watched it, so good I watched it a few more times. After a while I completely forgot about it until I was scrolling on Tiktok and saw there was a new season. I immediately went to watch it and Oh My God! I couldn't even get through the first episode.
When it comes to anime the illustrations are a big part of enjoying the show in my opinion and the drastic change is absolutely horrendous. The first 2 seasons had amazing art that gave the characters lots of life and made the show one of my favs.
But now the characters heads are built like footballs and their eyes are uneven, not to mention the story line sounds all over the place and kind of dumb.
Blue Exorcist has definitely been ruined for me when it comes to the art and the storyline :(
