My Sassy Girl

I can give Toni a pass as 'sassy girl' but the problem with this film is the overall direction. The scenes felt like it was an experimental film & feels like on auto focus with the main characters and everything else is a blur, much like this film. It falls flat in making this a funny movie with all antics feeling like an experimental film. I felt like they are trying to replicate the success of Kita Kita with Alex and Empoy but fails miserably. While trying to adapt to current 2024 situations, some scenes seemed half baked and comical punches just didnt land right. A terrible miss adaptation.

The original korean film holds a special place in my heart and this adaptation just ruined it. The guy character Junjee was ok but I can't stand the female lead, she just doesn't suit the role acting-wise. The female lead is too crucial for this role 'cause she is the one that will carry the storyline. They should've casted someone who is a bit younger and much relatable actress. Such a downgrade from the original female lead Jun Ji-Hyun.

I was disappointed when My Sassy Girl got an american remake but this PH version is way worse. Like waaaaaay worse. This film is a mistake and such a waste of time. Giving it 1 star 'cause 0 is not in the option.

This film will bring you on a roller coaster of emotions inside the cinema.

Direk Fifth Solomon gives Pepe Herrera and Toni Gonzaga an emphasis on their talents in acting and never forget the original sequence of the Korean movie.

Toni Gonzaga is indeed a rom-com queen of all time, she showcased how she was deserving of this entitlement, and no words can explain how she perfectly executed this character. Tama nga sila siya ang Jun Ji-hyun ng PINAS! An Ultimate Multimedia Star. Ano pa ba ang hindi niya kayang gawin?

Pepe Herrera shines through this film Snappy salute to all the people who chose this guy who is perfect for this role. Hoping for more projects for him as a lead actor to showcase what more he can bring.
