Exclusive: Just ahead of the 20th anniversary of Elephant, the Palme d’Or-winning Gus Van Sant pic that marked his breakout role, actor Alex Frost has signed with Brave Artists Management for representation. He’ll be repped by Luna Wise, who came over to Bam at the start of the year.

In Van Sant’s critically acclaimed psychological thriller released in October 2003, Frost portrayed teenage pianist and sketch artist Alex, who with his friend Eric (Eric Deulen), moves to orchestrate a school shooting. He’s otherwise perhaps best known for starring alongside Owen Wilson, Josh Peck and more in the Steven Brill-helmed coming-of-age comedy Drillbit Taylor, which Paramount released in 2008. Kristofor Brown and Seth Rogen scripted that title, which hailed from Judd Apatow’s Apatow Productions.

Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin is a spinoff of the wildly popular musical film franchise, and the cast of the show is sure to look familiar to viewers. The TV series centers on Pitch Perfect character Bumper Allen as he travels to Germany to pursue his dream of having a hit single. The unlikely spinoff show dropped on Peacock in late 2022, continuing the beloved Pitch Perfect franchise with a host of new characters and cast members. The six-episode series was successful enough to be greenlit for a second season, maintaining the musical hilarity of the Pitch Perfect movies over a decade after the release of the original installment.

It's been a little while since we've seen any high-profile spoof movies come through Hollywood, but it looks like another is on its way, and it's taking aim at two of the biggest forces in the entertainment industry: Marvel and Star Wars.

Variety reports that Avengers of Justice: Farce Wars, a new film from director Jarret Tarnol (See You in Valhalla), has cast Amy Smart (Road Trip, Crank), Stephen Rannazzisi (The League), Simon Rex (Scary Movie), and WWE wrestler Shawn Michaels in lead roles. The holiday season is here and like a lot of you, I plan on staying inside as much as I can and watching some great TV and movies. The indie drama casts Hyland as Johana Burwood, a successful young woman who returns to her hometown following her brother's death.

Johana is confronted with an awkward family reunion, and must confront the reasons why she chose to strike out on her own to begin with.

The ensemble cast for See You in Valhalla includes Odeya Rush (The Odd Life of Timothy Green), Steve Howey (Shameless) and Bret Harrison (Reaper).

April Apocalypse's Jarret Tarnol has directed a screenplay from his brother Brent Tarnol.

See You in Valhalla opens on April 24 in the Us.

Arc Entertainment has acquired all North American rights to Jarret Tarnol’s coming-of-age story.

Tarnol directed from a screenplay by Brent Tarnol about a young woman who returns home to reunite with her estranged family after the bizarre death of her brother.

Sarah Hyland, Beau Mirchoff, Odeya Rush, Jake McDorman and Steve Howey star.

Arc will release See You In Valhalla on premium VOD and in select theatres on April 24.

Hyland produces alongside Bernie Gewissler, Brent Tarnol and Jarret Tarnol, while Michael G Wilson served as executive producer.

Arc Entertainment’s Scott Moesta brokered the deal with Zak Bright of Preferred Content on behalf of Tarnol Group Pictures.
