Beautiful film that sticks with you

I caught this film as part of Queens World Film Festival in 2024. It has been a few months, but it has really stuck with me. The whole thing is beautifully done.

It's not a simple, straightforward tale. It's a bit more like watching something from David Lynch-that feeling like you're watching someone's dream captured on film. I spoke briefly to the director afterwards, but I don't think I conveyed how much I liked it. The fact that he was able to use the same actors 25 years apart to complete the movie really impressed me so much more than some kind of CGI aging ever could have, and the overall effect of the film is something that is hard to put into words.

I would love to watch it again and show it to others, but it seems to be hard to track down. Hopefully it will be released online in some form at some point.
