Gareth Edwards is set to take the Jurassic World franchise back to basics with Jurassic World: Rebirth, and the director has opened up about why he feels the new movie needs to correct what has gone wrong with the franchise in several sequels. This will mean rediscovering something that has been “lost” for many years since Jurassic Park first brought dinosaurs to life like never before. The new movie will debut in cinemas next summer, and many are expecting Edwards to do for the prehistoric saga what he did for Star Wars with Rogue One.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Edwards shared some thoughts on how Jurassic World: Rebirth will attempt to avoid putting spectacle over storytelling (and he can hopefully avoid those cheesy third-act dino team-ups in the process). He said:

The Jurassic Park franchise is heading back to a familiar streaming service. Beginning next month, the franchise's cinematic entries return to Peacock, albeit with one notable exclusion that is sure to make some fans sad.

On Nov. 1, the first five Jurassic movies will become available to stream on Peacock.
