Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass, and Steve Zissis all attended Jesuit High School in New Orleans, Louisiana but were in different graduating classes.
"Togetherness" marks the fifth project collaboration for the Duplass Brothers with actor Steve Zissis, after: "Intervention" in 2005, "Baghead" in 2008, "DoDeca Pentathlon" in 2009, and "Jeff Who Lives at Home" in 2011.
Amanda Pete, who had several nude scenes playing what she called "a desperate, sl*tty, pushy woman who's pushing 40," told People magazine that performing naked as she gets older is different than doing nudity when you're "younger and stuff, just because I wish I looked better." But she added that it was "really just a joy honestly. [The Duplass Brothers], made me want to work really hard and I loved it." When asked what the best way is to prep for a nude scene, Pete said, "It's sort of like, 'You swallow your pride, you vain idiot.'"
