5 star rating and decreasing 5 bcz of the unnecessary romance

Are you kidding me?? Ami tomar beej boye nie berachi!! Ekta sensitive topic e unnecessary romance, please grow up Svf. Mimi is no match to the acting of Tota roy chowdhury and it effects the web series for sure. They made a joke of the death of such a tragic incident many a times. Truth is subjective is the only thing holding the story.

Saltless cooking

Chandrashish Roy's direction is my personal favorite. But I am sorry to say that I did not get that flavor in this series. I also saw Chandrashish Roy's sense of music missing. Although he did not compose music. The cinematography is also unlike his earlier works.

But the first good aspect of the series is the script. Very well written. The tension is maintained from start to finish. Court room drama is very carefully written. However, Mimi Chakraborty's personal life has been exposed much more. It could have been done if not so much. Maybe the script would have been better if not so much focus and the length of the series would have been shorter.

The second good point is tota Roy Chowdhury's performance. A jewel actor. 2022-2023 This man gave his best. It is surprising that the industry has wanted such a good actor for so long. But as days go by, Tota Roy Chowdhury is coming out of his shell.

Jaha Bolibo Shotto Bolibo: A Disappointing Dive into Legal Drama"

The series has a gripping plot, but the screenplay feels outdated for the current time, lacking authenticity in portraying judicial procedures, defense lawyers, and police dynamics. While Mimi Chakraborty and Tota Roy Chowdhury deliver good performances, they can't salvage the overall superficiality. Director Chandrasish Ray, known for the impressive "Nirontor," disappoints in this series. It falls short of its potential to explore the complexities of the law and order system, corruption, and political alliances, opting instead for clichés reminiscent of Hindi TV serials. A wasted opportunity that could have been a brilliant exploration of good cop-bad cop dynamics.

Very Disappointing

It was a very promising true incident which the director or the script writers can used for a very good series. But among all the golds they have chosen ashes.

They have decided to change all the details from timezone to the route of the case. They have choosen the easiest angle of political shadow and corrupt minister, love rectangle, women empowerment etc (which could & should have been avoided easily) only to dramatize the script and left the original case aside which has the more drama than the poorly written script.

The story runs very slow , specially in the 4th episode onwards The performance of Tota was to the point, most others just fail to impress specially Mimi who looks just lost failed to do the justice to the character.

In a single word "Disappointing"

Underperformer

I have been watching some fabulous Bengali fare on OTT through Hoichoi for some time now.

The content that I have been filtering and watching has been quite good and my recent positive experience with Adv. Achinta Aich made me long for something similar.

Jaha Bolibo starts off aggresively with a front page news item being presented onscreen. The real life case had enough incendiary material to make a fiery blockbuster but some underwhelming writing, some off-colour editing make this a series that true fans of courtroom drama like me will complete but for most of the others it would be difficult.

The star performer here is Tota Roy with his Singha character who is often mispronounced. He puts a strong performance with a author backed role that falters and loses confidence in the last episode.

The weakest link of this series is Mimi, the starring character who has put in a lot of effort with her looks and presence but falters in the acting calculator. Despite a strong author backed role and probably her best effort in a serious role she falls short especially infront of Tota Roy.

The story has a lot of meat in it with police vs police, altercation resulting in death making it a murder case, political connections, corruption at all levels, manipulations and willful negligence, the list goes on. Everything that a solid courtroom dram needs.

The writing and dialogues could have been better and some of the frivolous plot points could have been done away with.

The last 2 episode appeared rushed to me as if the series time was up and they needed to finish in the last episode.

Overall it is an average fare and appreciate Mimi acting in a non-glamorous role.

Its dissapointing

I dont know what it was , but it was disappointing to say the least , i mean what was it , i dont know about the case it actually based off of so i dont really care about how true it is to the material but if you can figure things out by the second episode or third episode of a 6 episode court room drama / crime thriller ? Then you know how bad the writing is, its lousy writing , the acting was good enough but dialogue is very very poor , its like 90s cringe movies once again and the plot points or adultery and betrayal is very overplayed and quite unnecessary in my opinion , probably could have and should have watched something better.
