Bikini Bowl-O-Rama

The Plot: Three HOT but dim-witted babes plot to win big in a high stakes bowling contest as they fight to save their grandfather's beloved bowling alley. When the opportunity rises to challenge the United States' top bowler, you bet they bet BIG in an "all or nothing" game with everything, yes everything is at stake. A hilarious comedy where the bets, girls and laughs are big.

Full disclosure, I misread the title and thought this was a Bowling Massacre movie. No massacre in sight.

Unlike the other review here who says there is no nudity, there is. It's brief and topless but it's there.

Overall, it's a dumb movie, but not horrible.

When I sat down to watch the 2023 comedy "Bikini Bowl-O-Rama", I have to admit that I harbored absolutely zero expectations as movies with the word "bikini" in the title tends to be immature movies that cater to an adolescent male audience, and usually aren't known for their cerebral storylines or contents. Yet, as I had never heard about this movie from writer and director Dean McKendrick, of course I opted to give the movie a fair chance and the benefit of the doubt.

The storyline in the movie was so simplistic that it was almost non-existing; the owner of a bowling alley has until the end of the month to raise three million dollars to purchase the property upon which the bowling alley is located or she will see her business go away. And then three scantily clad friends set out to save their workplace at the bowling alley. Yeah, writer Dean McKendrick didn't exactly reinvent the wheel here.

As for "Bikini Bowl-O-Rama" being a comedy? Well, let's just say that I wasn't brought to a single laugh.

Needless to say that I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list. And it was painstakingly obvious why Mary Carey was cast for this role, now wasn't it? The acting performances were okay, nothing outstanding or memorable though.

My rating of writer and director Dean McKendrick's 2023 movie "Bikini Bowl-O-Rama" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.

There is no nudity in this. None whatsoever. This is another one of those movies that lures you in by looking like something it's not. It has all the ingredients of a light softcore erotic comedy but without the light softcore erotic elements. The nudity or softcore sex scenes. Hence, there is no redeeming qualities to it since without it (in this case), there is absolutely nothing to eider gain or maintain the viewers interest. It's the equivalent of a Youtube clickbait video but for a movie. Don't waste your time on this one. Thrust me, even a minute spent watching this will feel like theft on the part of whoever is behind this pointless drek. Bad acting. Bad comedy. Bad everything.

I bought this movie on Apple TV not expecting much from it. However much to my surprise. It's amazing. This movie was exciting to watch. Something about seeing beautiful wholesome women play family friendly bowling.

The actors were very good. You're able to connect with the characters and like some of them, while disliking others. Ms Krissy Lynn is a natural comedian!

As far as I'm concerned this movie was worth every cent I paid for it. I'd like for them to do a second movie showcasing another bowling team with more bowling action! I'll be watching this again in the coming weeks because it is that good.

Some people apparently didn't care for the movie, but you know what? That's okay. Every movie isn't for everyone. If you like action and drama, and something quick and to the point, this doesn't disappoint. This film is more than acceptable.

And lastly, the first review here seems incredibly misinformed. Bikini Bowl-O-Rama (2023) is the condensed and censored version of the 2014 hit film Great Bikini Bowling Bash. If you don't want to miss any action go seek out the 2014 original version but none the less the 2023 version is still wholly great and fun for the entire family!
