I recently watched Gold Digga (2007) on Tubi. The story follows a woman who survives by manipulating men into paying her bills-until they stop, at which point she kills them. When she crosses paths with a happily married couple, secure in their careers, home, and business, will their relationship be strong enough to withstand her schemes? Or will she infiltrate their lives, take what she wants, and leave behind more than just heartbreak?
Directed by Jonathan Milton (Single Black Female) and stars Mercedes Beall (Single Black Female 2), Stephen McIntosh (No Stone Left Unturned), Robin Michelle Lee (Deceptive Intentions) and Turell Robins (Behind Closed Doors 2).
This movie is as bad as expected. The opening radio segment is painfully awkward, the dialogue is cliché, and the acting is stiff throughout. The kill scenes are downright atrocious. While the idea of a serial-killing gold digger has potential, the execution is so poor that the film never has a chance. The script tries too hard to sell the concept, but it only makes the flaws more apparent. There's some nudity, but not as much as one might expect.
In conclusion, Gold Digga is exactly the kind of low-budget Tubi film you'd expect-and not in a good way. I'd rate it 2/10 and recommend skipping it.
