NBC is developing a new dating reality TV show, Love Takes A Village. The network has signed two significant names to appear on the show. Actress Anna Faris and former The Courtship host Rick Edwards have signed on to host the show. While the show has not been officially greenlit for production, NBC did order a pilot for the series.

The network has ordered a pilot for a new dating format – hosted by Mom and Scary Movie star Anna Faris and Rick Edwards, who previously hosted The Courtship for the network.

Love Takes A Village will see singletons go on a series of blind dates with people looking to win a second date. While the two people on the date know they’re on a dating show, what they don’t know is that the date, which they think is at a restaurant, is actually taking place inside a studio with a live audience watching in secret. At the end of the date, the couple find out who’s been watching them.

The pilot is being filmed in the UK next week.

It comes from Lighthearted Entertainment, the company behind Peacock series Eat Slay Love and Queens Court and Netflix series The Trust: A Game of Greed.

The Anonymous season 1 premieres on August 19, 2024, at 11 p.m. Et/Pt on USA Network. 12 players will compete using manipulation and deception to win $100,000 in cash prize. The game will be overseen by an A.I. called Dani, with new episodes airing weekly on USA.
