Had to turn off half way through. Was more like a therapy or counselling session than a magic show. I thought this was meant to be family entertainment? Was a throughly miserable watch, and the tricks weren't great 👎 The format just didn't work for me.

There seems to be an over reliance on people these days having to tell all their problems to make a watchable Tv program, dynamo was very watchable before and it just didn't need the whole misery narrative.

Get back to the tricks, make it uplifting, there isn't enough of this in the world today. Everything is far too miserable and it's starting to get a bit thin.

I really enjoyed this show, and it encouraged me to listen to his interview on Diary of a CEO afterwards (which is also great and puts the show in much more context).

The magic is generally really good, but the show included some important messages about mental health and overcoming struggles in life. A really interesting take on how to deliver Dynamo's new show with some real relevance to what he's been going through recently. Good choice of celebrities and people giving their own views on mental health and their personal journeys.

I look forward to what Dynamo does next as I feel this show is the precursor to a new era of creative magic from him.

Thoroughly disappointed.

The show's premise fell-short due to its predictable narrative about self-improvement.

The magic tricks themselves try present mental breakthroughs, but the use of SFX to achieve this completely undermines the narrative and the magic itself.

The conclusion of the show, where Dynamo finally is buried, falls flat. The prior camera trickery in the show taints the believability and genuineness of this finale.

To me, this special presents Dynamo as a less talented and uncharismatic version of David Blaine.

Hopefully others will see through this poorly executed special.

It was amazing to hear the journey he has been on and why he has been quiet over the years, certainly adds more colour to his personality, life and ultimately the story of his magic.

The anticipation for being buried alive really got me engaged throughout the show - definitely no spoilers here but it was intense!!! More like this please. A must watch for all old and new fans. Well done.

I love love loved this show!!!!! What an incredibly personal account of Dynamo's own mental health struggles and he uses magic in an innovative way to explore the mental health difficulties of an amazing array of A-list guests, and remind you that it's ok to ask for help. Was truly blown away.

I loved the live element from the Angel of the North and honestly my jaw was on the floor when he was being buried alive.

I've been a fan of Dynamo for years and was so happy to have back on our screens, he is so relatable and this was such a personal story so I really thank him for sharing that with us at home! Its left me wanting more!!!!!!

Dynamo is Dead is such an incredible watch. To hear Steven's journey is emotional and inspiring. This combined with the mind blowing magic tricks makes for amazing television viewing.

The pace of the show is lovely. Hearing from fabulous celebrities with really heartfelt stories, addressing so many issues from physical health to mental health, is so engaging, inspirational and uplifting.

Then to see their reactions to the magic Steven performs is joyous.

The ending really left me feeling emotional.

No more Dynamo, let's see what Steven does next! Can't wait!!!
