The Reaper's Image

1 review

Another one great adaptation of a Dollar Baby!!!

Just a year ago that Mark Pavia bought the rights of the The Reaper's Image, the short story wrote by Stephen King and which will be released soon into a film with another ones three short stories by the bestselling author, 'Mile 81', 'N' and 'The Monkey'. From now the short story will be unavailable to shot like a Dollar Baby film. But before this happened the excellent short story included in the Skeleton Crew anthology had been filmed. So if you have the ocassion to watch this adaptation in a Dollar Baby Festival before the premiere of the Mark Pavia's film, do it.

I wanna focus specially on the wardrobe at the opening scene. I love it! It's really awesome! It's like travel back in time -to the 1700's time. But this is not the only one. The actors plays a good roles and with a atmosphere is full of suspense from start to finish. I think all the crew did a great job.

There are dialogues that no appear in the original short story. I love that because it's like you read the story for the very first time The reaper's image comes out with the flying colours because shows that with a low budget (just $ 300) you can also get great results. The unquestionable quality of this Dollar Baby guarantees a half-hour of fun to you.

In my opinion this is a good one adaptation. The reaper's image by Sammy Bates pays tribute with honor to the short story by Mr. King. High-soundings words to your ears.
