Bad Teacher 2

Is Bad Teacher 2 Happening? Everything We Know
Image
Fans clamored for Bad Teacher 2 after the success of the original, but the sequel has remained in development limbo since 2013. Cameron Diaz's retirement and negotiation struggles hampered progress on Bad Teacher 2, leaving its fate uncertain for now. If Bad Teacher 2 were to happen, the plot would likely focus on Elizabeth Halsey's new role as a guidance counselor, with the original cast returning.

Bad Teacher took audiences by storm with its irreverent humor and chemistry between Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz, leading to a demand for Bad Teacher 2. Directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, Cameron Diaz plays a foul-mouthed, gold-digging teacher, Elizabeth, who is more interested in finding a wealthy husband than educating her students. The stellar cast included Justin Timberlake as Scott Delacorte, Segel as gym teacher Russell Gettis, and Lucy Punch as Amy Squirrel, Elizabeth's goody-two-shoes nemesis.

Baywatch International Trailer: The Rock Vs. Priyanka Chopra
Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, Alexandra Paul, David Hasselhoff, David Chokachi, Gena Lee Nolin, and Jaason Simmons in Alerte à Malibu (1989)
Last month, Paramount Pictures debuted the first Baywatch trailer, giving fans a glimpse into what could be one of this summer's biggest movies. While we wait for the next domestic trailer to debut, the studio has released two new international trailers with never-before-seen footage. We get a better look at the villainous Victoria Leeds (international superstar Priyanka Chopra), the owner of a local club whose business has brought an influx of drugs and murder to a once-peaceful beach.

Paramount Pictures International debuted these new trailers, which offer a few playful jabs at the massively popular TV series this Baywatch remake is based on. One scene features Dwayne Johnson's Mitch Buchannon having lunch with his fellow lifeguards, where they're discussing everything that has happened once Victoia Leeds took over as the new owner of the Huntley Club. Zac Efron's Matt Brody adds that these sort of investigations are far...

First Baywatch Footage Has a Shirtless Zac Efron and the Rock
Dwayne Johnson
Earlier today, Baywatch stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron premiered the first footage from this adaptation on social media. The sexy beachside adventure moved up one week from May 19, 2017 to May 26, 2017, which falls on Memorial Day weekend. These brief videos provide just a tiny taste of all the ocean action before the full trailer debuts tomorrow, Thursday, December 8. We'll be sure to bring you the full trailer as soon as it arrives. But in the meantime, these two teasers help set the tone for this big screen adventure.

Dwayne Johnson's Twitter video teases that the "ocean's most powerful force will emerge," transitioning to a shot of The Rock carrying a lifeless body out of the water. Zac Efron's teaser video shows footage of his character Matt Brody, who is seen jumping off his motorcycle directly into the ocean to save a victim, along with another funnier moment where...

New Baywatch Posters Celebrate Halloween with Zac Efron and the Rock
Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, Alexandra Paul, David Hasselhoff, David Chokachi, Gena Lee Nolin, and Jaason Simmons in Alerte à Malibu (1989)
Earlier this summer, Paramount debuted the first poster for their highly-anticipated Baywatch remake, which helped celebrate Father's Day with Dwayne Johnson and Jon Bass. We haven't seen anything from this movie since then, but today the studio is helping to celebrate the Halloween holiday with three new posters that shows these cast members are "so hot it's scary." It's possible that these posters could be leading into the first trailer's debut in the near future, but that hasn't been confirmed.

The first of two photos, which Paramount debuted on the movie's Twitter account, feature Dwayne Johnson wearing a cape, flanked by Kelly Rohrbach dressed as an angel, and Alexandra Daddario as the devil. The second photo features Zac Efron apparently dressed as Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, since he's holding Halloween buckets filled with gold medals, as both Jon Bass and Ilfenesh Hadera are dressed as cats. The third photo features...

Owen Wilson and Ed Helms Unite as Brothers in Bastards Trailer
Glenn Close, Ving Rhames, Christopher Walken, Owen Wilson, Terry Bradshaw, J.K. Simmons, Katt Williams, and Ed Helms in Father Figures (2017)
Two brothers go on a quest to find the father they always thought was dead in the first trailer for Bastards, arriving in theaters January 27, 2017. Ed Helms (The Hangover films) and Owen Wilson (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Zoolander 2) star in Alcon Entertainment's comedy Bastards, under the direction of Lawrence Sher. The film marks the directorial debut of the veteran cinematographer, who had worked on The Hangover trilogy and, most recently, War Dogs, starring Miles Teller and Jonah Hill.

Helms and Wilson play Peter and Kyle Reynolds, two brothers whose eccentric mother raised them to believe their father had died when they were young. When they discover this to be a lie, they set out to find their real father, learning more about their mother than they probably ever wanted to know. This R-rated comedy was originally in development at Paramount Pictures five years ago, before it shifted over to Warner Bros.,...

Baywatch Movie Poster Wants You to Rock Your Dad Bod
Dwayne Johnson
Yesterday was Father's Day, with dads all around the world being celebrated for raising their kids the right way. Dwayne Johnson decided to get in the Father's Day spirit by unveiling a new poster for his highly-anticipated reboot of Baywatch. The Rock is joined by co-star Jon Bass on this poster, which encourages father's everywhere to rock their "dad bods."

As you can see in this post from Dwayne Johnson's Twitter, not every "dad bod" is not the same. Dwayne Johnson is strikingly chiseled, as usual, while Jon Bass rocks a more traditional "dad bod". We still don't know exactly who Jon Bass is playing yet, but it has been confirmed that Dwayne Johnson is playing Mitch Buchannon, a role originally portrayed by David Hasselhoff in the iconic Baywatch TV series.

Dwayne Johnson and Jon Bass will be joined by Zac Efron as Matt Brody, a cocky newcomer who...

After bad mouthing the movie, and saying she had no interest in being a part of it, the iconic Pamela Anderson has come home! Yes, the actress-turned-sex goddess has decided that it is in her best interest to join the already huge cast of Baywatch, an R-rated action comedy based on her hugely popular syndicated TV show. Star Dwayne Johnson had this to say about landing such a big fish on his Instagram.

"She introduced the world to 'Cj Parker' and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation - for the most successful TV show of all time. A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #Baywatch cast.&#160We couldn't have made this movie without you. &#160Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us!"

Production has been under way for just under two months on Paramount's Baywatch, and ever since cameras started rolling, Dwayne Johnson has been sharing photos from the set. This week, the actor introduced three new Baywatch Babes, the previously-announced Belinda along with two more cast additions, Izabel Goulart and Charlotte McKinney. Here's what the actor had to say in his Instagram post.

"When making a movie based off of the biggest TV show in the world, you wind up saving lives from all over the globe. Reppin' Mexico: Belinda @belindapop. Reppin' Brazil: Izabel Goulart @iza_goulart. Reppin' the good ol' USA Charlotte McKinney @charlottemckinney. Now in real life these ladies never need saving. They're bad ass, keep their game strong and super cool to work with. Buuuuuuuut in our movie, their "characters" need saving and... well... there's only one man for the job... not Batman, definitely not Superman, not those Avengers.

'Baywatch' Movie Cast Goes Topless in Latest Set Photo
Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, Alexandra Paul, David Hasselhoff, David Chokachi, Gena Lee Nolin, and Jaason Simmons in Alerte à Malibu (1989)
The new Baywatch movie is definitely a comedy. If you weren't sure, the latest photo from the set shared by Dwayne Johnson on his official Instagram page assures us of that. It shows The Rock and Zac Efron putting their glorious six-packs on display. While it looks like co-star Jon Bass has been interested in a different kind of six-pack altogether. The confident young man shows off his much more realistic psyche as he sets out to save those in need of a good beach rescue. Says Dwayne Johnson about this latest photo.

"The Boys of #Baywatch are some bad ass dudes. We have a lot of cool things in our movie. R-Rated comedy, hard core action, beautiful ass kicking women, the unforgiving and majestic ocean, Zac's 17 pack abs, and most important our #1 secret weapon...@thejonbass."

The studios have had a busy day changing release dates left and right, with everything from Star Wars: Episode VIII to Jumanji getting new slots on the release calendar. Paramount has also decided to give their highly-anticipated Baywatch a new release date, slotting it for May 19, 2017. The Baywatch remake doesn't currently have any direct competition, but this was the same date the studio had set for Terminator Genisys 2, but that movie was just taken off the release calendar.

In related news, the cast of Paramount's Baywatch remake is coming together nicely, with a strong supporting cast surrounding stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Just weeks after Dwayne Johnson himself revealed that Kelly Rohrbach has come aboard to play Pamela Anderson's beloved character C.J. Film Feature: The Top 10 Celebrity Photos of 2014, By Joe Arce
Chicago – In a year where shoots with perpetual photo fashionistas like Cindy Crawford and Sarah Jessica Parker still failed to crack the Top Ten list of biggest celebrity photo-ops, you know 2014 was a very good year for HollywoodChicago.com and myself, Joe Arce, as Senior Staff Photographer.

A number of writers have previously written drafts of the script, including Jeremy Garelick (The Wedding Ringer) and Peter Tolan (Rescue Me). One of the earlier stories revolved around a series of shark attacks that lead the Baywatch lifeguarding team to investigate a drug smuggling operation. No details were given for Justin Malen's new take on the story.

Back in January 2013, we reported that Bill Hader was in talks to star in Baywatch, although his reps denied the report. Robert Ben Garant was attached to direct at that time, but this was the last we had heard about the project until now.

Dwayne Johnson Will Lead The Baywatch Movie
Dwayne Johnson’s pulling power is most definitely not in question. As soon as his involvement in a floundering franchise is announced, it’s as if he gives them a new lease of life. It’s not hard to see why he’s like audience catnip for series like Fast & Furious and G.I. Joe. He’s an immensely amiable guy, who’s real-life positivity spills over into his characters. The Rock’s got charisma, and Hollywood wants in. Now, we’ve learned from THR where we’ll fall in love with him next – on the beach. Paramount are moving forward on the long-awaited big screen version of Baywatch with Johnson now attached to star.

The good news (aw come on, this is Great news) doesn’t end there. The comedic writing duo behind We’re The Millers, Sean Anders and John Morris, are also “loosely attached” to direct. If their involvement becomes official,...

Dwayne Johnson Attached to Star in 'Baywatch' Movie
As far as I can tell, the first time I wrote about a possible movie based on the television show "Baywatch" was in 2004 when it carried the title Baywatch 3-Double-d. That idea was squashed later that year when DreamWorks took over and ever since there have been rumblings, but nothing official on the books... until now. THR reports Paramount is moving forward with a big screen adaptation and Dwayne Johnson is "loosely attached" to star with Justin Malen (Bad Teacher 2) writing the script for We're the Millers helmers, Sean Anders and John Morris directing. Set along the shores of Santa Monica, there currently is no word on a plot synopsis, but THR reports previous efforts to bring the story to the big screen involved action revolving "around a series of shark attacks that led the Baywatch team to investigate a drug-smuggling operation."...

Dwayne Johnson Joins "Baywatch" Movie
After years stuck in development, things are finally happening regarding the "Baywatch" movie at Paramount Pictures.

THR reports that Dwayne Johnson is loosely attached to star in the film which Sean Anders and John Morris ("Horrible Bosses 2") will direct. Justin Malen ("Bad Teacher 2") is set to pen a rewrite of the script.

Malen takes over from previous scribes Jeremy Garelick and Peter Tolan who reportedly had one take involving the team investigating a drug smuggling operation following a series of shark attacks. Whether that is still the case is unsure.

How far along the project is, is also unknown at this point.

New Posters for Godzilla, Captain America 2, and Sex Tape
A trio of new posters for ya today, fans of movie posters. Up first, Gareth Edwards’ big G does what he does best in a new poster for “Godzilla” — which in this case is stomp the ever lovin’ crap out of everything. Now that’s one pissed off reptile. Someone give him a Snickers! Meanwhile, Captain America and the boys (and girl) get a new IMAX poster for “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” It’s the same poses you’ve seen in previous posters, so there’s really nothing new except for the color scheme and new mixing and matching and whatnot. And finally, here’s a first poster for the sure-to-be raunchy comedy “Sex Tape” starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel, who are re-teaming with their “Bad Teacher” director Jake Kasdan. The trio will be back in “Bad Teacher 2″ later this year.

• 2014 in preview: science-fiction

• 2014 in preview: drama

• 2014 in preview: Oscar contenders

• 2014 in preview: romance

Sex Tape

Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz play a couple who make a sex tape one night, then realise it's gone missing the next morning, prompting a "frantic search for its whereabouts". Segel and Diaz reunite three years on from Bad Teacher (and a half year ahead of Bad Teacher 2, which is also being directed by the man in charge here, Jake Kasdan, whose first ever job was on Freaks & Geeks). This is also, possibly, Segel's Machinist: he's got ever so thin for the part.

Opens 25 July in the Us, 5 September in the UK

Neighbors

Nicholas Stoller was going to direct Sex Tape; instead, he took the reins on this one: a battle comedy in which Seth Rogen,...
