Not up to the expectations

Netflix is giving this show so much less time which can't fulfill its purpose properly. The comedians have to compromise a lot in this short duration which is hampering the quality of the show. As netflix is not a TV broadcasting platform, they can easily increase their time limit of the show. I have been watching Kapil's show for many years and they used to be lengthy where every actor could perform their best comedy.

I think if they could produce the show in India (still using Netflix platform) then they would have reached variety of celebrity guests rather than making in Australia . I would highly appreciate if they increase the air time of the show only then it can succeed up to its potential.

It's suppose to be a comedy show

I was done in the first 5 mins when Ranveer Kapoor and Kapil Sharma's posing as Netflix logo and sound.

I was waiting for Sunil Grover's entry but couldn't bare the torture till then and had to turn off the TV.

I would not recommend this to anyone and save your time. Also, they repeatedly emphasize that this show is broadcasted in 190 countries but just so you know no one's gonna watch except Indian (not even Indian with this quality of joke) The another most annoying character in this show is that lady judge. She even confessed that she was made laughed forcefully even on poor jokes.

Edit: starting from Sunil Grover's entry till the end it was good show.

I guess kapil doesn't like to pay writers

It's amazing to see kapil killing his own show. One of the greatest shows to be on Indian television coming on Netflix what else could he ask for more. But it seems kapil has lost his sheen and that is what mostly happen to people who take their job forgranted . Even after the famed reunion of him and Grover they are not able to generate half a show they used to deliver 10 years back. So it's time kapil should realise that nothing better than 100 percent would do. He has to get his act straight all 5 episodes were below expectation. I think it's time Indian audience moves towards real comedy. Kapil we expect better.

Typical but watchable

Kapil has own style, its one of a kind. His loyalists will always watch and itll be pretty ordinary for the others.

Its bound to get repetitive, how long can you carry out such stuff, jokes will end eventually. That theyre still carrying it on is a big deal.

The surrounding is changed a bit and thats the best repackaging they can do.

Cant get much more from a show like this.

Grover is a great return, the other starts are fine but badly misses Chandu and Simona. Hope they come back. Will add two more stars to the rating. Its the overall combination over the years that has grown into the audience.

Even if your not a fan, a bit of unlinked comedy never hurt. Give us more.

Slow start

I won't blame Netflix, but perhaps the entire cast for the slow start and some repeated jokes.

Initially, I was eager since the show on Netflix was more accessible across the border, unlike YouTube where there was no cutting or editing of songs, etc. That was a positive aspect. However, the cast's performance was quite mediocre.

Archana Puran Singh seemed to be forcing herself to laugh harder than ever before and contribution to the show was absolutely and totally nothing.

Kapil started with the usual routine but with very dull introductory jokes.

Sunil Grover's return was welcomed, considering his strong presence in the show, but his solo endeavors in movies, etc., were just terrible.

Krushna Abhishek's performance was mediocre; it could have been better.

Kiku's portrayal as a chef was very uninspiring; his second appearance was below average.

The show lacked substance and seemed like a desperate attempt at humor. It could have been better. Fresh jokes with better punchlines are needed.

I won't make a final judgment based on the first episode; let's hope the subsequent ones are better.

In second season, they are back with full bang

Review of first season I have been following Kapil since the Comedy Circus days, and this time also bought Netflix Subscription only for Kapil. But the show has failed to meet the expectation level.

With such a less time duration, Kapil unable to present their skill fully.

When we are expecting a better vibe, the show has failed to reach the Sony tv level vibe even.

The NETFLIX is not giving the show enough time to Artist.

First and 3rd episode, it is quite clear that Netflix has used this show for their own promotion. It is too much in 3rd, when they are putting Movie trailer, shooting video in between the episode.

Please rectify all the issue...

Update:: Now it looks like Netflix has understood the issues. They have started to rectify. Now the show has more entertainment.

Review on second reason Their original comedy timing with character is back.. It is full of entertainment.

Thoroughly Disappointed

The Kapil Show in Netflix is nowhere there compared to his earlier shows in Sony or Star which you can watch repeatedly and enjoy.

Content: Poor Screentime for each performer: drastically reduced as now it's just 1 hour a week compared to 3 hours a week earlier. Moreover their scripts are also poorly written. Mostly coming out as sick jokes Missing Sumona's charm in the show Looks like Kapil and the performers are busy promoting Netflix rather than paying attention to the content.

If this continues, looks like Netflix will kill Kapil's career.

I really had great expectation from this show, but am thoroughly disappointed.

'Good Humour and Guest Entries'

I specially like the entry style of the guests and humour of the Kapil in the new Netflix kapil show.

The whole setup of the show is based on the "Airport" theme which is decent.

They should include things which creates more laughter and have humour involvement although it is good at present but can be improved.

All characters are playing good role in the show it gives various achievements to them and tue public is supporting them.

The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony TV had done fantabulous job in television sector but now the OTT platforms are increasing in the trends so Netflix have played a great move by promoting it to the OTTs.

Nothing New to Talk About.

2 episodes down in this 15 episodes series( read in reports before episode 1 premiered) there is nothing new to talk about and if Netflix took a punt on Kapil Sharma, looks like will end up empty handed. First it wasn't a great idea to ditch tv for OTT, show was originally made for Indian hindi TV audience not for people in 190 or 192 countries. Ofcourse there are whole lot of Indian Diaspora but don't think everyone of those will connect to the show like the TV audience has connected here in India, were most of us habituated to watch the Comedy Nights with Kapil or The Kapil Sharma Show every Saturday and Sunday. Coming back to the content of the show it has nothing special or new to offer than the previous versions of the show. Characters look even lame than previous versions and jokes are flat, repeated or repackaged like Sunny Deol-Bobby Deol act by Kiku and Krushna in episode 1. There was excitement about Sunil Grover returning to the show and even more that it was on Netflix with hopes of comedy that will stand out but alas it hasn't met any of my expectations.

Too condensed - but not lost their charm.

Well done Kapil for going mainstream/international. Netflix has unfortunately condensed a 2 hour show (Sat/Sun) into about 35 mins, what were they thinking, this limits the scope for Kapil and team to get into characters and interact fully. Great to see Sunil back. I assume old characters are tied to Sony and Colours and possibly not relatable to an international audience outside the Indian community. I still eagerly await each new episode on Saturday, which I can watch at about 4pm UK. Still a must watch despite lots of petty negative reviews. Keep it up Kapil and team. Shame it took Kapil to go International for Aamir Khan to finally grace the show, this shows the pull Kapil has.

It was Superb but...

It has undoubtedly carved its niche in the realm of Indian comedy entertainment with its humorous sketches and engaging performances. However, there is room for improvement to make the show even more enjoyable.

One aspect that stands out is the need for a greater variety of sketches. While the existing sketches are entertaining, adding more diverse skits could enhance the show's appeal to a wider audience. Incorporating fresh concepts, characters, and comedic situations could inject new energy into the program and keep viewers eagerly anticipating each episode.

Another area for enhancement is the length of the episodes. Currently, the episodes seem to be on the shorter side, leaving viewers craving more laughter and entertainment. Extending the duration of each episode could provide ample time for the comedians to explore their characters, develop engaging storylines, and deliver more punchlines, resulting in a more satisfying viewing experience.

Boring stale content and characters

Since its inception, the journey has been plagued by a downward spiral, but this recent downturn is unparalleled. I can't fathom how they could overlook their humble beginnings. The characters lack depth, rendering the narrative tedious and predictable. Each installment offers nothing but recycled content, devoid of innovation, and if anything, it's regressed into a state even more lackluster than before. The essence of the original spark seems lost amidst this stagnation. It's disheartening to witness such a promising journey devolve into a monotonous cycle of mediocrity. It's as if they've forgotten the very essence of their creative inception.

Good to see a modest side of Aamir

Witnessing Aamir Khan step away from his famed perfectionist image to reveal a more humble and approachable side was truly refreshing. The show itself might hover around a 6 to 7 out of 10, but Aamir's charismatic presence undeniably added a significant boost. He openly discussed his past failures, shared intimate details about his family, and recounted interesting stories from his shooting days, providing a rare glimpse into his personal and professional life. This appearance was a departure from the usual perception of him as aloof and overly meticulous, showcasing instead a more humane and relatable side. For fans and critics alike, this shift made the show far more engaging and memorable.

Netflix knows how to kill the vibe!

Didn't felt for a second that I was watching Kapil sharma show but a very sad and non laughable show, the much awaited stint of Sunil grover was only flirting with Ranbir and makes it more cringy when the kind of make out, same 10 years old techniques, I thought there will be a better comedy but you will hardly laugh through all the episodes. I know Netflix bot will start giving it 8-9 star ratings to make it popular ad they do it with all their shows. But this one was a sad show instead of a comedy show. It would have been better that Sunil grover was given more length and better appearance than being same like guthi. I hope they do better in coming episodes.

Torture!!!!

Watched for some time, couldn't handle it anymore. Lame jokes, no laughs at all!

Celebs questions were so boring!!

Can't believe in this Era when we have such amazing comedians, where you can't stop laughing, Kapil is still on his 10 years old jokes. No one laughs on them!!!

He needs to upgrade his game.

I felt Netflix level has gone down. This show is supposed to be talk show and comedy show. Unfortunately, neither is it as lively talk show as coffee with Karan or nor comedy show as any other comedy show on Prime Video.

If something worked 10 years ago, doesn't mean it will work now!!!

Jokes needed to be upgraded, minimum requirement is one should laugh right, and talk show format needs to be improved. Stop asking boring questions with celebs.

SAME CHARM AS EVER

ITS A GREAT SHOW AND HAS MAINTAINED SAME ON NETFLIX. WE SHOULD NOT EXPECT FROM COMEDY. ITS THE MOST TOUGHEST ZONE OF ENTERTAINMENT NOBODY CAN BEAT KAPIL AND THE WHOLE TEAM OF THE SHOW. A SINGLE SMILE MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN TODAYS LIFE AND SO EVERY MOMENT OF THE SHOW IS REQUIRED AND CANNOT BE NEGLECTED.

ALL THE COMEDIANS HAVE DONE WELL. ALSO EARLIER ON OTHER PLATFORM, THERE WAS SOME CONTENTS WHICH USE TO BE TO HARSH AND FELT BULLYING RATHER THAN COMEDY, THIS HAS BEEN NOT THE CASE ON NETFLIX.

BUT I FELT THAT SEASON HAD LESS EPISODES AND I COULD HAVE RUN MORE LONGER AS EARLIER.

A TRUE TALK SHOW WITH LOTS OF ENTERTAINMENT.

WAITHING FOR SEASON 2 EAGERLY.

Awesome

One of the unique aspects of The Kapil Sharma Show is its ability to bring together people from all walks of life through the universal language of laughter.

"One of the key highlights of The Kapil Sharma Show is its stellar lineup of celebrity guests. From Bollywood superstars to sports icons, the show attracts a wide array of personalities who grace the stage with their presence. Kapil Sharma's effortless charm and quick wit create a comfortable environment for guests to open up and share interesting anecdotes from their lives. The camaraderie between Kapil and his guests often leads to spontaneous moments of laughter and fun, making each episode a delightful watch. The show's ability to showcase the personal side of celebrities and bring out their humorous quirks adds a unique touch that resonates with the audience. Whether it's actors promoting their latest films or musicians sharing insights into their creative process, The Kapil Sharma Show offers a refreshing take on celebrity interviews. In addition to its entertainment value, ""The Kapil Sharma Show"" has also been a source of inspiration for many aspiring comedians and performers. Kapil Sharma's journey from a small-town boy with big dreams to becoming one of India's most beloved comedians serves as a testament to hard work, perseverance, and talent. His rise to fame through sheer dedication and passion for comedy resonates with individuals who dare to dream big and pursue their goals against all odds. By sharing his story and experiences on the show, Kapil Sharma inspires others to believe in themselves and follow their passions, no matter how challenging the path may seem."

Disappointing Shift in Kapil Sharma's Comedy Style on Netflix

As a long-time fan of Kapil Sharma's comedy, I eagerly anticipated his arrival on Netflix with "The Great India Kapil Show." However, I was deeply disappointed by the drastic shift in his comedic style. While Sharma's humor was once natural, family-friendly, and effortlessly enjoyable, his recent performances feel forced, unnatural, and uncomfortably semi-erotic. This departure from his original charm makes it challenging to watch the show with family, which was once a cherished activity. I urge comedians to stay true to themselves and avoid resorting to gratuitous humor. Kapil Sharma's comedy was at its best when it was authentic and inclusive.

Still Funny, But Is It Still Fresh?"

The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show, streaming on Netflix, marks the return of one of India's most beloved comedians to the digital stage-and for long-time fans, it feels like a nostalgic homecoming. The show brings back familiar faces, signature punchlines, and the same winning formula that made Kapil Sharma a household name. But with a new platform and a global audience, the question is: does it evolve, or simply repeat what's already been done?

The format remains largely unchanged: a mix of comedy sketches and celebrity interviews, peppered with audience interaction and Kapil's trademark improvisation. The set is sleek, modern, and Netflix-polished, but the heart of the show lies in its characters-most notably Archana Puran Singh, who continues her eternal laughing stint on the front row, and the ensemble cast including Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Thakur. Each brings their own flavor to the table, with quick costume changes, exaggerated accents, and relentless energy.

What a waste of time

The initial performances fell flat, relying on tired, recycled jokes, lacking any freshness or intrigue. Sunil Grover's presence felt underutilized, as if deliberately restrained to prevent overshadowing Kapil Sharma. Consequently, the show has noticeably lost its once vibrant charm, seemingly dragged out solely for monetary gain. It's perplexing why even Ranbir Kapoor and his family were involved, adding little value to the already dwindling appeal. In contrast, the landscape of comedy is evolving rapidly, with stand-up comedians pioneering innovative approaches and consistently delivering fresh material. Platforms like Netflix and Amazon offer these comedians more creative freedom and broader exposure, elevating them to the status of true stars. It's time for "The Kapil Sharma Show" to recognize the shifting tides and adapt accordingly, lest it becomes a relic of bygone entertainment eras.

Epitome of worst insult comedy

The great Indian Kapil show by Netflix is no different than Kapil Sharma show that used to come on television. Kapil Sharma is the creator of insult comedy that sounds so worst. The show is nothing less than vulgarity.

The other comedians such as Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover and Krishna Abhishek are the ones lifting up the show and shows magic and Kapil is totally destroying it.

The second and third episodes that released recently are so worst. Couldn't get a grin on the face.

Same jokes, same format, and increasingly bad execution are ruining the show.

Recommendation is to not watch this show and spend some good time on Netflix's other shows!
