Idris Elba is opening up about how success has changed his life, and the toll all his hard work has taken on him. "When you break it down like that, it's unhealthy to have that much going on," the actor tells his The Jungle Book director Jon Favreau for Interview Magazine's August cover. "I don't want to sound ungrateful or anything, but I sleep less, I'm constantly thinking, I'm constantly multitasking, and I really don't know what the effects are going to be when I'm older," he adds. "I don't ever stop. Not because I'm greedy or anything, but I’m always creating,...

Having nurtured a string of short projects into development and before the cameras, actress-cum-director Catherine Shepherd is ready to graduate into the league of feature films, with her directorial debut coming in the form of Like a Virgin. Blending elements of drama, comedy and religion, the picture has barely made it off the drawing board, though according to Deadline, it’s already secured Gemma Arterton to star.
Centring on a promiscuous singleton called Mary (Arterton), Shepherd’s first foray behind the lens will follow our protagonist as she indulges in alcohol-fuelled trips into town. Getting drunk and hooking up with strangers, Mary embraces her hollow life with both hands, burning the candles at both ends. That all comes to a grinding halt though, when the angel Gabriel descends from heaven and informs that, much to her surprise, Arterton’s lead will carry and give birth to the next messiah.

After working on several short projects, actress Catherine Shepherd is headed into the feature director’s chair for the first time on a new film called Like A Virgin, and she’s recruited Gemma Arterton to star. Arterton will play Mary, a young woman who enjoys frequent nights out on the town, getting blind drunk and hooking up. But while still sozzled one raucous night, she gets a surprise visitor – no, not the local constabulary, but the Angel Gabriel who, in true Biblical style, informs her that she’s been chosen to birth the next Messiah. Which, somewhat understandably, comes as a bit of a shock. The big question is whether a girl who hasn’t seemed ready to grow up herself is prepared to carry and raise the next saviour of the world? Shepherd, who has also written the script, developed the film with the BFI.Arterton, last seen in The Voices,...

UK cinema in 2015 has plenty to recommend it. Here are 36 UK films of all genres to look forward to this year…
Dig past the litterfall of Kray Brothers biopics and tales of nubile teens on camping trips gone wrong, and you’ll unearth plenty for the UK film industry to boast about in 2015. From sci-fi romps and thrillers like Robot Overlords and Ex Machina to dramas like High-Rise, comedies like War On Everyone, spy flicks like Spectre and kids’ films like Bill, there’s no shortage of inventive, highly promising cinema coming from these isles.
We’ve included a few choice co-productions in 2015’s pick of the year’s most interesting-looking pictures, which bolsters our list in both size and breadth (and mostly means we Brits can claim partial credit for ace-sounding dystopian flick The Lobster).
In alphabetical order then, here are the 36 UK (or UK-ish) movies we’re excited about seeing this year…...

Idris Elba took to Twitter on Saturday to address rumors that he might be the next James Bond and, in the process, indirectly responded to radio show host Rush Limbaugh's comments about the potential casting choice. Speculation about Idris playing the iconic British spy - after the franchise's current star Daniel Craig bows out - has amped up, thanks to the controversial Sony hacking scandal. In a leaked email, studio chief Amy Pascal reportedly wrote, "Idris should be the next bond." Rush shared his thoughts on the development during a segment on his show, saying, "Now Sony is suggesting that the next James Bond should be Idris Elba, a black Briton rather than a white from Scotland. But that's not who James Bond is, and I know it's racist to probably even point this out . . . We had 50 years of white Bonds because Bond is white. Bond was never black.

Hello, Nick Jonas! While arriving to the 2014 Young Hollywood Awards in L.A. a few weeks ago, the super-hot 21-year-old singer made his way to the red carpet while showing off an impressive bulge within his pants! Perhaps he needed to adjust himself after a long car ride? While Jonas looked extremely handsome in his tightly fitted red suit and sunglasses, we had trouble taking our eyes of the former boy-bander's crotch region. (Who can blame us?) Jonas is just the latest Hollywood hunk to join the growing list of impressive bulge-flaunters. Just last week, Idris Elba was snapped on the set of his new movie A Hundred Streets with quite a sight in his pants! The 41-year-old actor later clarified...

He's having a Jon Hamm moment. Idris Elba caused a serious frenzy this week when pictures of him on the set of his upcoming film A Hundred Streets in London went viral. Unfortunately, it had nothing to do with his acting chops. The British actor received attention for his, err, distracting bulge. Elba wore a tight-fitted tailored blue suit during the revealing moment with a white button-up; Gawker and many other sites wondered whether Elba was as super-humanly endowed as the confusing pics suggested. Without missing a beat, [...]...

Pictures of Idris Elba filming his upcoming movie, A Hundred Streets, in London on Tuesday started a heated debate this week. People weren't so interested in the actor's handsome looks or fit frame draped by a svelte suit, but rather the situation in his pants. As the pictures show, something very long was clearly beneath the right side of his trousers. Just what was it exactly: a random object or a burgeoning bulge? According to 52% of readers who took the hilarious Popsugar Love & Sex poll, it definitely seemed like the real deal. As speculation continued on Saturday, the actor set the record straight on Twitter: "The good news is i got a shit load of followers. The bad news is, that is a mic wire. #egowentintospaceshipmodethough," he wrote. The good news is i got a shit load of followers.
